strong>Yes, Joie de Vivre you have the wrong end of the stick. You cannot know if i am or if i am not lying, your accusation that im lying concerns me since you are yourself lying.
Its the truth that i am a social policy student and my leacturer has shown that the extreme version of conservative is the BNP, and its the truth i have nothing against her but i have somthing against her becoming the muslim personality, Wether you belive or dont is your choice but to say im lying is inappropriate.
Regarding Warsi apeearence i never said she sould wear any form of islamic clothing you assumed this.
User name You thank you for your comments very balanced
Secondly, Im confused. Putting the nit-picking on her dress sense aside for a second, I fail to see how Warsi is giving a "convoluted presentation of Islam". If anything she has probably done a lot more than is being given credence for. How many imams or mosque committee members have stood up and tried to represent Islam or work for their local (muslim and non-muslim community)?
In the recent past (talking post iraq war past here), quite a few imams and scholars did stand up and present a voice etc, maybe not as loud as should be, but collectively they were given a smack, accused of extremism and then sort of scurried back to their safe grounds with their tales behind their legs.
I am aware and recognise that many muslim scholars and imams alike denounced events such as 9/11, 7/7 et al. However whilst I applaud this step I would like to see further change and movement. Being accused of extremism isnt nice, and Im sure many of us here have faced situations where your faith is being questioned or maligned and you have had to stand up and defend. In the same vein, if there is no struggle, then there is no progress. Its silly to sit back at the first hurdle, even if it is being accused of extremism.
It is easy to point fingers I know, but I do not believe I am being unduly unfair or harsh. All things considered when you are given a position of power you carry a great responsibility and must deliver. Perhaps I expect too much from them.

As for Barroness Warsi, she was seen as an apologist. I have not read much of her own views (or I have forgotten them), but she was often portrayed as being the apologist for the conversatives - some of who did/do have some ... less than wanted views about Islam and Muslims.
Either way, her views and what she stands for should be evaluated and re evaluated over time and I have no idea what she stands for.
Like you, Ive not read much of her views, but I would be very careful of considering her less of a muslim (rather one that does not follow basic tenets of Islam) based on what she wears (which was a matter that was emphasised in some posts earlier). That I feel is very judgemental and wrong.
I will also not be so naïve as to believe that she may not have joined the conservative party just to "make up" ethnic minority or even "muslim" figures. This after the conservative party have had to defend accusations of being racist. Even William Hague admitted that certain sections of the conservative party were racist. But I digress.

If you aren't a liar, SISTER, you're a fool, and I suspect it's a bit of both. If it's all this "you don't have to believe me" then it isn't at all inappropriate to mention I don't. But being wrong doesn't make me a liar. If you believe your own arguments bless you and all.

How has your lecturer convinced you of this unfortunate blatant falsehood?
"Regarding Warsi apeearence i never said she sould wear any form of islamic clothing you assumed this."
You complained she didn't look Muslim. So I'm inclined to recall my suspicion that one or two people are yanking chains, because pointing out failed assumptions is an explicit argument that I myself used more appropriately on other threads.
