what if someone started doing them things whilst you were friends with them?

friend of mine used to drink and go out clubbing
i told him i hated it and it was wrong. not so much chastise him, but i was very disappointed in him, and he knew it was wrong. soon afterwards he stopped doing it.
they are still friends at the end of the day. a good friend will try to guide another. thats what friends are for

he used to smoke coz of his 'hard life'
i really did try to convince him to quit, n he always fobbed me off saying he will one day, but its pretty hard to give em up staright away wen u smoke 20 a day
but when u get seen with people like that, gossips gets round quick and people start saying becoz u hang round with someone who smokes, u also smoke
it was really hard to give up on him, coz u kid urself that u can help em, but i s'pose if they aint got the will power then no amount of convincing from u is going to change their mind
