How to keep remembering Allah?
Assalamu alaiukum 😃
I don't know if this has already been duscussed and i haven't really bothered searching for it either, plus i just wanted to let some thoughts out.
Basically like everyone i have my highs and lows when it comes to my imaan or taqwah. Hopefully as does everyone else i would love to keep my imaan and taqwah at a high all the time.
One of the ways i think my imaan is affected is by how often i do good deeds and how much and what sins i commit. It certainly helps keep Allah on your mind when you're busy with doing good deeds but sometimes i feel like i've run out of things to do and i just get bored. I've also felt an imaan boost when giving up things which are sinful or i may in doubt of.
What my main concern is, is how do we remain god concious and in that high state of imaan all the time or is it impossible?
Like in the midst of our daily lives, like at work, uni or amongst friends how do we remember Allah. Even though i may not be sinning i lose focus of my purpose in life and just comfortable in the dunya.
One thing i've learnt through this Ramadan that's just gone by is that if i do have any problems or need let things out i should turn to Allah in dua. This has helped me immensely and it really does help me remember Allah.
One problem though, i can't stay in dua all day although i wish i could but then again this life wouldn't really be much of a test then.
I know there's no one answer for this and i have found many ways of living in this dunya but still doing things for the akhirah. I just wanted some of your advices and thoughts that may be able to help me on this journey.
I could listen to lectures or read a book but that only gives me a temporary boost, i need practical advice that has helped you and maybe i can do the same for you guys.
Anyway jazakallah khair and may Allah guide us all. Ameen
Islam and blasphemy
Blasphemy in Islam is any irreverent behavior toward holy personages, religious artifacts, customs, and beliefs that Muslims revere. The Quran and the hadith do not speak about blasphemy.
Jurists created the offence, and they made it part of Sharia.
Where Sharia pertains, the penalties for blasphemy can include fines, imprisonment, flogging, amputation, hanging, or beheading. Muslim clerics may call for the punishment of an alleged blasphemer by issuing a fatwā
Islamic legal authorities agree that a blasphemer can be Muslim or non-Muslim. To be convicted of blasphemy, an individual must be an adult, of sound mind, and not under duress. Some jurisdictions do not punish individuals who commit blasphemy accidentally. The Maliki school of jurisprudence permits the exoneration of accused individuals who are converts to Islam.
Punishment
The punishments for different instances of blasphemy in Islam vary by jurisdiction.
A convicted blasphemer may, among other penalties, lose all legal rights. The loss of rights may cause a blasphemer's marriage to be dissolved, religious acts to be rendered worthless, and claims to property—including any inheritance—to be rendered void. Repentance may restore lost rights except for marital rights; lost marital rights are regained only by remarriage. Women have blasphemed and repented to end a marriage. Women may be permitted to repent, and may receive a lesser punishment than would befall a man who committed the same offense.[

Legal warning to UK over benefits for EU nationals
The European Commission has threatened legal action against the UK, saying a test of eligibility for benefits discriminates against foreigners.
It says it is easier for UK citizens to prove their "right to reside" - a test imposed by the UK for certain benefits - than EU nationals.
The commission says it may refer the case to the European Court of Justice.
UK ministers fear taxpayers could be forced into handing out more than £2bn to EU nationals - including so-called "benefits tourists" - if the UK has to comply.
Ministers say it is a "fundamental challenge" to the UK's right to decide its own social security arrangements.
The Commission says it has been in talks with the UK for several years over the issue and is responding to a "huge number" of complaints from EU citizens living in the UK.

Israel to kick out 30,000 bedouin arabs.
hile attention is focused on the Palestinian Authority’s UN recognition initiative, Israel is quietly taking hugely significant steps to transfer 30,000 Palestinian Bedouin in the Naqab (Negev) desert from their ancestral lands.
Recently, Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, approved plans for another large-scale cleansing of the Bedouin community in the Naqab. The plan would “relocate” 30,000 of those who managed to remain on their land after more than two thirds of all Bedouin were uprooted during the establishment of Israel.
This is another reason why recognising Israel is a "Jewish state" is a bad idea - what they don't tell you in the fine print is that the foriegn Minister as part of this wants to kick out all non Jews that live in Israel but did not leave/were not expelled in 1948 or 1967.

Anwar Al Awlaki has been killed?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-15121879
Reports say that Anwar Al Awlaki was killed along with his companion in an US airstrike in Yemen.
Does anyone else have any more news on this subject? I actually heard about his alleged death just before Ramadhan, same exact story but only a few were speaking about it.
Also does anyone know how exactly they linked him with Al Qaeda? :?
All i know was that his lectures were very inspiring, (to come to deen, not for anything else) and that he was knowledgeable but not a scholar. Allah know best.

Edible shampoo?
Excuse the misleading title but
Can we use products such as shampoo etc that contain alcohol if we don't ingest it? We obv can't/don't get intoxicated on it, so what's the ruling?
Like, we can't eat pigs but I think most people think that wearing shoes made of pigskin is also not okay?
Cheers all.

End of the world soon?
So I was talking to some friends today, and apparently, Shaykh Muhammad al Yaqoubi and some shaykh Nazim, who I haven't heard of, have predicted that Imam mahdi might/will be at the coming Hajj.
Apparently the revolution in the middle East is a big sign as well? (They didn't say that, my friend did)
So yeah, could this be true? It's really scary.
Oh yeah AND another friend also said that supposedly anyone who doesnt have a pir should get one now or they're pretty much screwed. Is that true; do I NEED one??

Guilty: MP's Wife Stole Love Rival's Kitten
An MP's wife has been found guilty of burglary after being caught on CCTV stealing a kitten from the home of her husband's lover.
Jurors took just over five hours to convict Christine Hemming, 53, who snatched the cat three days after separating from Liberal Democrat John Hemming.
Mrs Hemming, who showed no reaction as the verdict was returned at Birmingham Crown Court, will be sentenced next month.
She was bailed to appear at the same court on October 28.
She was seen crawling on all fours in the garden on September 29 last year before entering the house.
Three minutes later she emerged with four-month-old Beauty under her arm. The cat has not been seen since.
She took it from the home of her husband's mistress Emily Cox. The property was bought for Ms Cox by the MP for Birmingham Yardley.

Islamic Channel Noor TV fined £75,000 for charging viewers for prayers
Noor TV has been fined a hefty £75,000 after it broadcast a show allowing viewers to donate money to the channel in return for prayers for themselves or for their relatives.
A complainant was concerned that a programme exploited the audience by encouraging viewers to donate money to Noor TV in return for the channel arranging special prayers inside Prophet Muhammad's mosque in Medina. The complainant noted that many of the callers who donated money asked for prayers to be made to assist with their medical, financial and personal problems.
The presenter appealed to viewers to make donations to the channel on the basis that they would be rewarded through prayers made for or on behalf of the donor. The presenter encouraged viewers to pay Noor TV money for these prayers and viewers or their relatives would enjoy improved health, wealth or success as a result. Having viewed the programme and the pledges made by viewers during it, Ofcom calculated that a total of £7,670, €200 and 3,500 Norwegian krone was pledged by viewers in return for prayers.
The broadcaster said that a large number of pledges were not honoured and indicated that this may be a possible reason for the discrepancy between the amount of money which appeared to be raised during the appeal and the amount of money Noor TV maintain was actually raised. Specifically, the broadcaster stated there were no entries in the Noor TV bank account relating to pledges made in Euros or Norwegian krone during the programme and that the likely reason for this was that the pledges were not honoured.
Ofcom considers that vulnerable people, such as those experiencing financial or emotional difficulties, may be unduly encouraged to give donations. In particular, Ofcom considers it unacceptable to persuade viewers to donate money on the basis of inducements such as a offering a prayer for or on behalf of the donor; the promise of better health; or that a religious figure will create further wealth for donors or take particular care of donors.
Ofcom was extremely concerned that Noor TV had not separately accounted for the donations viewers had made as a result of the appeal for funds. The broadcaster was unable to demonstrate whether the funds had been used for the purpose for which they had been donated. The broadcaster was also unable to demonstrate whether the audience had been told how much had been raised as a result of the appeal.
When Ofcom asked Noor TV to provide a recording to demonstrate that the audience had been told how much the appeal had raised, as Noor TV suggested had been the case, the broadcaster said that it was under new management who had not been involved in the broadcast in question. The broadcaster also stated that it considered "the idea of trawling through 24 hour broadcasting over a period of time to find the appropriate mention is clearly an unacceptable request".
The broadcaster had claimed that the presenter in question was responsible for the breaches, and stated that this individual had since been dismissed. Ofcom was concerned that the broadcaster provided no detailed evidence of any compliance procedures it had in place, or has since introduced, to demonstrate that it had taken responsibility for meeting its obligations under its Ofcom licence.
Noor TV has been put on notice that the breaches in this case are being considered for the imposition of a statutory
