Do you have faith in the Police?

Salaam

After recent events do you still have faith in the police?

Do you or have you ever thought of working for the Police?

Do you think the Police are doing a good and fair job in the UK?

Do you agree with Police Profiling of Asians and Muslims in the UK, especially after 7/7 and the alleged airport terror plot?

Shouldn't Muslims co-operate with the Police to fight crime, extremism and terrorism?

Don't you think the police have an extremely difficult job and Muslims criticise them too easily?

Pls discuss...

Britons See Islam Threat to West: Poll

By Mohammed Sabry, IOL Staff

"British Muslims are portrayed in the tabloid newspapers that they want to kill Christians, unwilling to integrate and want to enforce the Sharia`h law in the UK," Bunglawala said.

CAIRO — More than a half of Britons see Islam poses a threat to the West and believe Britain is facing a "Muslim problem", according to a poll published in The Daily Telegraph on Friday, August 25.

Some 53 percent of 1,757 respondents to the YouGov survey said that Islam was a threat to Western liberal democracy compared to less

Kiss Me Baby!

Hi

I dont like public displays of affection especially kissing. I can barely stand people walking around holding hands but kissing is where i draw the line.

There seemed to be quite a few people doing this the other day must be the warm weather tends to affect people strangely.

I dunno... maybe im being a prune but is even holding hands allowed in Islam?
Kissing in public is definately a 'no no' and tends to be something reserved for the married couples in the sanctity of their own homes. What people do in their own homes is their business but please keep it at home.

I dunno ...

Tea 'healthier' drink than water
Tea 'healthier' drink than water

Drinking three or more cups of tea a day is as good for you as drinking plenty of water and may even have extra health benefits, say researchers.

The work in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition dispels the common belief that tea dehydrates.

Tea not only rehydrates as well as water does, but it can also protect against heart disease and some cancers, UK nutritionists found.

Experts believe flavonoids are the key ingredient in tea that promote health.

Your Fajr Habits

Salaam

How do you get up for Fajr?

Do you jump up as soon as you hear your alarm ring? Do you need TWO alarms to get you up? Does your mum drag you out of bed? Do you keep your alarm away from you so to turn it off you’ll have to walk across the room...Or do you stay awake at night waiting for Fajr?

And how fresh are you when you read your Fajr? Like me, does anyone ever do a sleepy wudu and jump back in bed without even putting the prayer met away? :?

Preaching To Your Elders

Salaam

I don’t like telling anyone what to do…when I want to make a point to someone, I usually invite them a study circle where the issue raised would be the point that I wanted to get across to them….in programmes/lectures/circles etc the style of the Speaker usually isn’t “YOU, should do this…” but “WE, should do this…” or “SOME people do this and its wrong…”

That way individuals do not feel singled out…

That’s what I usually do to younger people…or people around my age.

Is this true?

The name for that land is the land of Israel.

It was during this time that the Romans gave the name Syria Palaestina to the geographic area, in an attempt to erase Jewish ties to the land. The Mishnah and Jerusalem Talmud, two of Judaism's most important religious texts, were composed in the region during this period. The Muslims conquered the land from the Byzantine Empire in 638 CE.

Curriculum Vitae

Salaam

Its been 2 years since really I updated my CV.

Do you think its a good idea to list ALL my previous employment history? I was thinking that for space reasons just put on the three most relevant...?

My old CV was IMO really good, but it never got a response. So I am thinking of changing it totally. Change it. remove the 'fact fact fact' approach.
