A Moral Dilemma

Here's a dilemma for you... With all your honor and dignity what would you do? This test only has one question, but it's a very important one.

Please don't answer it without giving it some serious thought. By giving an honest answer you will be able to test where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation, where you will have to make a decision one way or the other. Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous. Please scroll down slowly and consider each line - this is important for the test to work accurately.

You're in Florida...In Miami, to be exact. There is great chaos going on around you, caused by a hurricane and severe floods. There are huge masses of water all over you. You are a CNN photographer and you are in the middle of this great disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot very impressive photos. There are houses and people floating around you, disappearing into the water. Nature is showing all its destructive power and is ripping everything away with it.

Suddenly you see a man in the water, he is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken away by the masses of water and mud. You move closer. Somehow the man looks familiar.

Suddenly you know who it is -- it's George W. Bush!

At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him away, forever. You have two options. You can save him or you can take the best photo of your life. So you can save the life of George W. Bush, or you can shoot a Pulitzer prize winning photo, a unique photo displaying the death of one of the world's most powerful men.

And here's the question (please give an honest answer):

Would you select color film, or rather go with the simplicity of classic black and white?

I'd like to think i'd save him, i doubt i'd recognise him as George Bush coz ppl look different off TV and there's so much chaos i wouldn't be looking to ascertain his ID.

Any person who parades around imitating a suicide bomber is ASKING for The Sun to badger him. They already seem to have a pre-determined agenda to portray Muslims in a negative light - actions like his only make their job easier..

These young folk need a bit of aql - difficult in a society where there arent many good Muslim role-models to learn from..

I would save him if I could, and leave taking pictures for later. All compassion aside, the the kudos of photographing Bush going under would be incomparable to the rewards and media interest for having saved his life.

It also gives you the time to ponder the ethics of the situation.

Joking aside, I doubt many people will consider the question of just leaving him. Unless they are real paparazzi, who can be subhuman.

now if you sed , you were stuck holding a tree amidst a flood and then you see a child floating away amongst the debris , if you let go and attempt to save the child you almost definately risk dying , but how can you live with yourself if you dont do nothing and let the child die , but if you do manage to grab the child your both be swept away and risk dying so what would you do :?:

thats a no too then

in that situation you have no time to way up the risks and when your in that state of terror your hypothalamus will pump out adrenalyn making your body think you are in extreme danger and your brain and body will tell you what ever you do dont let go of the tree

but you cannot control your emotions not even in that situation , imagine if that child was your own child , you would ignore the element of risk or danger and do all you can to save your child, but what if it wasnt your child would you still risk your life ?

and admin its not suicide if you risk your life to save another its bravery :!:

I'd like to think I'd go for the kid but if it was a snap decision and I was in 'fight or flight' mode I don't know.

Then again being mixed in the elements makes me more extroverted, if I was soaked I might just go for it.
