Al-Azhar okays controversial book about Prophet Mohammed
Book, published in 1837 by Reverend George Bush, portrays Prophet Mohammed as 'imposter'.
The highest authority in Sunni Islam approved a book describing the Prophet as an "imposter" and Muslims as "locusts" that the Egyptian press continued Friday to attribute to the US president's great grandfather despite denials from Washington.
"The Al-Azhar Institute for Islamic Studies approved the book titled 'The Life of Mohammed, founder of the religion of Islam and of the Empire of the Saracens'," Egyptian newspapers announced on their front pages.
The book was published in 1837 by Reverend George Bush, whom Egyptian newspapers - including state-owned publications - have consistently presented as the current US president's great-grandfather.
But the government-run Al-Ahram daily said it had approved the book's publication "because it is a piece of documentation that paints a lively picture of the life of Prophet Mohammed."
Publication of Reverend Bush's work had initially been rejected by Al-Azhar and the turnaround puts an end to a year-long controversy.
An unnamed Al-Azhar official quoted in the official Al-Akhbar daily denied rumours that the publication was the result of US pressure.
"Al-Azhar does not bow to any pressure, whether foreign or local, when it comes to matters related to Islam," the cleric said.

Accepting proposals and settling down to the first guy that proposes doesnt necessarily ensure an end to loneliness.
Some of the most loneliest women I know are married.

The car has a compass... which you can buy for a few quid. It also has a space where you can put the Qur'an or your headscarf... which is aka the glovebox. Safety features and fuel economy... there's alot of cars which have that.
So is anyone interested in this car?... I know I'm not.

marriage is a once in a lifetime commitment for most of us. You wanna be sure that they are the "one" after all your gonna be spending the REST of your life with them.
So on this one occasion i think you can afford to be picky. If you reject a couple of proposals then fair dooos but 150 that is is just ridiculous.
Maybe she kept a record so she could get in the gueiness book of world records.
there is a simple solution for that.... buy a cat 😃

Yes Naz, Marriage is a once in a lifetime commitment (or it should be for most of us). But heres the thing... there really is no such thing as "the one" (and im not talking about Keanu Reeves). Or if there is ... its sooo remote that the chances every woman will find "the one" is almost impossible.
So what do you do? Go for the next best thing ofcourse. And if in your case its a cat... then im sure thats puuurrrrrrfect. 😃

yeah true there is no such thing as the "one" but you should have at least something in common (ok perhaps not agree on everything coz them marriage is jus plain borin). Not think oh im gonna get past my sell by date soon so i might as well settle down with some idiot who i cant stand the sight of.
ps Keanu Reeves is too pasty for my likin but saying that he didnt look too bad in speed lol.

Yeah ofcourse you should both want the same things in life. And defo hav something in common. Just dont expect to find some1 perfect ... bcoz no ones perfect. But if your gonna be tooo picky (he's gotta be such a hight, hav such amount of cash, be a doctor, etc etc) then you maybe waiting a long time. Im saying this to both guys and girls.
But then again if you marry at the early age of 19 you'll be horrified @ who you married by the time you're 23. So get married somwhere in your mid 20's. The theory is you'll hav developed what little brains you had to begins with. And hopefully youre comfortable enough to stand living with someone else too.

I only mentioned Keanu Reeves bcoz i was making a point about finding the one. Keanu was refered to as "the one" throughout the matrix trilogy.
But i see now that it was too hard an illusion.
Alas, never mind.

A t the crown court in Preston on August 10, a trial involving two Asian men caused unusual interest across a number of cities in the north of England. The defendants, Zulfqar Hussain and Qaiser Naveed, were each sentenced to five years and eight months for abduction, sexual activity with a child, and the supply of a controlled drug.
It was a very uncomfortable scenario, not least because many of these crimes had an identifiable racial element: the gangs were Asian and the girls were white. The authorities, in the shape of politicians and the police, seemed reluctant to acknowledge this aspect of the crimes; it has been left to the mothers of the victims to speak out.
Maureen’s daughter Jo was one of Hussain and Naveed’s victims, having been groomed by them and a number of other Asian men when she was 14. Jo went missing from her Blackburn home 90 times during the six-month period in 2005 that she was in Hussain and Naveed’s clutches.
“I was told by one police officer that he did not ‘want to start a race riot’ by arresting Pakistani men for sexual offences,” Maureen said. During the six months that Jo was in the clutches of these men, they raped, beat and abused her to the point where, says her mother, she did not even know who she was any more. Eventually, after she was attacked by Hussain and Naveed with an iron bar, Jo somehow found the courage to report them to police, and they were arrested. The case took 16 months to come to court. In the meantime, other pimps, undeterred by the impending trial, continued to go about their business.
Gemma cannot remember ever being happy, although her mother, Anni, says she was a contented child until she reached the age of 13. That was the day she fell out of puppy love. It was the day that Amir, her 24-year-old boyfriend, chose to brutally rape her.
Gemma had been introduced to Amir by a 15-year-old boy at her Blackburn school. A shy girl with little confidence, she was extremely flattered when she was charmed and actively pursued by the boy, who was thought of by many of the girls at her school as a “dish”. When Gemma became enamoured of her new boyfriend, he introduced her to his 24-year-old “cousin”, who began plying her with cannabis and alcohol. She initially enjoyed feeling “grown-up” and rebelling against her parents. Soon, Anni noticed dramatic changes in Gemma’s behaviour and appearance.
Despite evidence from rigorous research by organisations such as Crop that the gangs are largely made up of men from the Pakistani Muslim communities, many are determined to downplay this. “What we’re dealing with is gross criminality,” says Kosaraju. “That should be confronted whatever the race of the perpetrator
As well as simple opportunism, pimping of white females by black and ethnic-minority men can be a type of revenge against whites. “My parents ran a grocery shop,” says Hussein, who admits to being part of the pimping gangs in the late 1990s. “They had hardly any money, even though they worked their backsides off. White people treated them like shit, like they were their servants.” Hussein says he took “great pleasure” in having young white girls at his beck and call, knowing their parents would be out of their minds with worry. Although Hussein was reported to the police, he was never arrested for any crime, and is now working in Leeds.

A pregnant teenager was stabbed to death in her bedroom in a ferocious and sustained attack by her husband's secret lover, a court heard.
Harmohinder Kaur Sanghera, of Solihull, West Midlands, stabbed her boyfriend's wife in "jealousy and desperation", Manchester Crown Court heard.
Sana Ali, 17, of Bury, Greater Manchester, received 42 wounds.
The court heard Ms Sanghera, who denies murder, had been having an affair with Mrs Ali's husband Sair since July 2005.
Mr Peter Wright QC, prosecuting, told the court that the relationship continued despite the Alis' arranged marriage in December last year.
Mr Wright said Mrs Ali's murderer had deliberately lifted her top and stabbed her in her abdomen at her Throstle Grove home. She was 11 weeks pregnant.
"The deeply personal element points unhappily, and unequivocally, to the identity of the killer being the defendant," he said.
He said the relationship between Mr Ali and Ms Sanghera, a 23-year-old dentistry student in Birmingham, ended after the attack in May this year.
Mrs Ali was born in Pakistan and had been considered to marry her cousin who was also a Shia Muslim, the court heard.
Mr Ali and Ms Sanghera, a Sikh known as Mindy, started a relationship in 2005, but hid it from his parents.
Mr Wright said: "He did not tell the defendant he was engaged to be married.
In December 2006 when Mr Ali got married Ms Sanghera became suspicious and Mr Ali told her he was engaged.
In March Mr Ali told her his wife was pregnant, but Ms Sanghera said she would become his second wife.
The pair had a muta marriage ceremony - a temporary arrangement which means they could live as husband and wife for a specified time.

Women get 'virginity fix' NHS operations in Muslim-driven trend
Women are being given controversial "virginity repair" operations on the NHS, it emerged last night.
Taxpayers funded 24 hymen replacement operations between 2005 and 2006, official figures revealed.
And increasing numbers of women are paying up to £4,000 in private clinics for the procedure apparently under pressure from future spouses or in-laws who believe they should be virgins on their wedding night.
Doctors said most patients are immigrants or British of ethnic origin.
Dr Magdy Hend, consultant gynaecologist at the Regency Clinic, Harley Street, London, who started hymen reconstruction more than 18 years ago in the Middle East and the Gulf, said: "In some cultures they like to see that the women will bleed on the wedding night. If the wife or bride is not a virgin, it is a big shame on the family."
Dr Hend said he was surprised by the "very good response" to the service and said there is "big competition on the market".
Most of his clients, he told More4 News, are in their teens or early 20s.
"They might be British of ethnic background, they might be immigrants, or some people come from abroad, Asia, Middle East, the Gulf, and they don't want to have it done back home," he added.
Isabelle Levy, an author who studied the issue for her book Religion in the Hospital, said young Muslim girls are "modern and they have adventures like other Europeans - which never happened in the past.
"But on the other hand, fundamentalism is spreading and these girls are getting sent back to their countries of origin to marry. And they will be rejected if it is found out that they are not virgins."
