Officer accused of defacing Koran
An investigation has been launched into allegations a prison officer defaced a Muslim prisoner's copy of the Koran.
A prisoner at HMP Parkhurst on the Isle of Wight contacted the Islamic Human Rights Commission stating rude graffiti had been scrawled across the holy book.
Massoud Sahdjareh, chairman of the commission said: "We have seen the copy of the Koran - basically rude words have been written right across the page."
The allegation was contained in a list of incidents which the organisation claimed represented an increase in anti-Islamic attacks during the holy month of Ramadan.
The list included the firebombing of a Muslim-owned dairy in Windsor, Berkshire, and a pig's head being thrown at a mosque during night prayers in Newport, Gwent, on 23 September.
A few mates of mine go to the two universities mentioned in the article, they've never mentioned this.
That’s my old university! ^^^^^
It’s laughable to hear about “extremism” at that uni.
The Muslims there are too busy arguing amongst themselves about trivial issues to become extremists.
I remember Prof. Glees very well; he was my lecturer for a while.
He was known for his right wing views and his obsession with German culture and the “intelligence” industry.
His specialist subject was the intelligence services and he dramatically described the dire need for further power and financial support for James Bond and his crew.
Without an increase in the influence of MI5, and funding for learned academics who write about them, we are all doomed.
He’s just drumming up business for himself!

No, it is serious. That you don't care doesn't make it what you are calling a "non-story". Just reflects on you.
Why is it not in the headlines that universities are "recruiting grounds" for Scientologists, S&M fetishists, and Greenpeace?
Why is it not in the headlines that chip shops and barber shops are "recruiting grounds" for Muslim "extremists"?

Bit obvious, Beast. The other people you mention aren't building a terrorist army, and because a major recruiting ground would seem to be universities.

And who exactly is recruting for a "terrorist army" at British universites?

I don't know. We are discussing the article that says extremists are targetting university campuses. To be frank, I know where you stand. Al Ghurabaa is Greenpeace.

Assalamu Alaikum,
If you're still coughing up blood and in severe pain that can't be right. Don't be made to feel like a fool. Better make a fuss than be sorry later, i'd ask for a second opinion from a different doctor.
Get your GP to kick up a fuss for you that's his/her job.
Health problems can become very distressing but please don't make yourself worse with worry. Look forward to maybe finding there is nothing the matter. R'fuah Shleima.

Yep agree with the others, keep hassling your doctor.
Dont drink water after having greasey or buttery food, it really messes up your throat. Even better I'd avoid such food altogether for a few days.
Drink tonnes of water and have loads and loads of honey throughout the day, or when you've opened your fast, and Inshallah you'll be feeling better soon.
I'll remember you in my duas sis, let us know how you're feeling.
