Pakistan is one of the best countries in the world.
Certainly better than Bosnia.

INDEPENDANCE DAY MUBARAK :-)
I didn't know there was an Independence Day thread.
As you know, I've recently been to Pakistan. One of the things I 'discovered' whilst I was there was that we shouldn't be so certain that our futures lay only in Britrain. There is so much we could do for Pakistan if only we were willing to give it our time and energy. We could build schools, clinics, hospitals, colleges and there is enormous potential for business entrepreneurship.
This idea of getting married in Pakistan just so that as many people can get a red passport and be shipped out of that God-forsaken country is just plain wrong. We should be willing to settle in Pakistan. Every Pakistani family in UK should have at least one or two children who live and settle in Pakistan. This way if ever we feel the need or are compeled to leave the UK we have something in place for us in Pakistan - and there's no massive grab for houses, land, and resources.
As for British Pakistanis adopting fights against injustices in foreign lands - there's plenty of injustices to fight against in Pakistan. Human rights abuses, political misrepresentation, economic exploitation are all things which find pride of place in Pakistan. And it's not as if we don't have the power to change things. Pounds go a long way in Pk. We can print pamphlets and newspapers, lobby the gov, hold rallies (OK I'm getting ahead of myself). Powerful local and tribal yokels are always holidaying in England - we can lobby them whilst they're here.
All I'm saying is we shouldn't give up on Pakistan. It's not a "poor third-world country" - or at least it doesn't have to be. It has alot of potential and we should maintain and strengthen our links. It would be just wrong if we left it to the "pakis".

To live like a king providing you have money isn’t hard to achieve in most third world countries, but the thought of living in opulence and driving around a Mercedes, while nothing but poverty dominates the landscape is rather off-putting.

You should search for it, You may also find articles of Musharraf praising the brave murderer Arial Sharon for being a heroic general, May find Musharraf eulogy and his thoughts on Mustafa Kemal Ataturk

That's not proof or evidence. It's just someone saying what you're saying.
And Qadiyanis are taking over Pakistan!?!? Get real.

That is just a blog posting.
I will drop it as it is of no use to have this discussion. Neither of us can do anything either way.

I believe it to be true, a country that spends 80% or 70% of it’s GDP on it’s military must be planning something.

How did i miss this quote, this man was the biggest fraud in Pakistan history , he was an opportunist , wasn’t his blood that paved the foundations to established Pakistan, he was to busy drinking whisky and sampling the delights of hog meat.
If he fought hard for the Muslim, then why is Kashmir still occupied, why is it 180 Million Muslims in India are still in India?

Maybe they're planning a war India.
Or they're building really big headquaters for themselves and giving each other massive pensions.
Or they need to maintain the nuclear arsenal.
Or they're using it to bribe tribal leaders in Baluchistan and NWFP.
Or they're funding their polical allies in parliament.
But no. Yeah, you're right. The Qadianis are building up a massive army with which to subjugate a whole nation of 120 million people.
(How many Qadianis are in Pk anyway?)

Then this rotten day only creates more disunity- if we are to ever unit it will be under banner of Islam and not a flag.

Perhaps it doesn’t seem as far fetch as I once imagined.
Don’t know the answer to your question, but it's your country and have an affiliation with it then change it.
Oh yes the continuing feud with India and the need to arm itself to the teeth to defend itself from Indian invasion, while spending on military increases leaves hardly any change to resolve the poverty. Good economic policy

That says nothing about any Qadiyani conspiracy to overrun Pakistan.

salaam
My dear Brother shazan i take it ur going through a tough time maybe you have a very big chip on ur shoulder!! I expected you to have more brains than go on what u hear and read!!
if there are still muslims in india thats up to them they arnt forced to live there!! kashmir is still occupied because of insaani fitrat and greed!! thats down to latter people who ruled.
oh and it takes the country as a whole to get rid of poverty, doesnt happen overnite and cant be done by one person!!
May be i should put this in the Adab thread why all the hatred for a elderly and very Knowledgeable scholar.
do u guys not know what Islam teaches about teachers!!! Your love and respect for them?? iam quiet disappointed actually pple are stating they have been taught by, in jamia didnt they teach you a loving glance at your teacher gives u soo much sawaab!!
These people are teaching Quran and Sunnah, how dare you sit there and slander these ppl!! no am not just taking sides i would be upset regardless of which scholar it was.
But then again i dont think i could blame you, living in a western country and being bought up to ignore and disobey our school teachers who teach us about duniya!! u wouldnt be able treat these pious people who are teaching Allah's words and our beloved Rasools ﷺ sunnah!! AstagfiruAllah may Allah guide us all along the sirat-ul-mustaqeem
Going back, noor if Musharaf hadnt agreed to co-operate with US and Britain do u really think that u wud be sat so comfortable at home, the britsh would hate the pakistanis and they would have us living in this country!!
and when muslims cant marry a person except if they are from there parents country thats down to jahiliya/ lack of knowledge!! would u marry a pakistani?? Alhamdulilah i know my parents wouldnt mind its just backwards thinking!!

I have a few issues, when the lives of Muslims and their property, dignity is being violated.
Don’t play the role of a buffoon Khan, Cleary you support Taghut leaders
Which proves not all Muslims subscribed to the idea of two-nation theory, for instance the false pretence in which a hog consuming leaders established your country. And Pakistan have abandon Kashmir- always been a thorny issue, leave it to the Mushirks to continue their butchering, very noble of Pakistan, but who cares, you have a lovely shack in Pakistan, you are not being occupied nor killed.
How can it, when 70% of it’s GDP is spent on a military, who’s only deployment involves killing Muslims (In Pakistan and Bangladesh!), but enjoy your holiday abode while your country decays.
One that supported Musharraf and his crusading alliance is not worthy of my respect or any God fearing believer ..
And Allah warms us in following the deviates
TUQ isn’t no teacher of mines. Nor do I get my knowledge from him.
Very pious man who forsaking his brothers and sisters in Afganistan, to advance his own business empire, very noble of him indeed.
TUQ isn’t no teacher of mines. Nor do I get my knowledge from him. He's teaching is only pacifying Muslims
You care more about your public image then the lives of the innocent? Already been told by Allah this world is a prison for us. Sorry but Pakistan has always had a tainted with a bad public image, and your naive in thinking cooperating with the dijaalic forces that there promises with materialize into anything.
[/quote]
And an idea that is imbedded in nationalist minds, one that is being promoted here.

Good post...
I somewhat agree with you...however, I don't feel that the above is practical or feasible, simply and only because of the large amounts of corruption back home.
Paki's are big on money, having the right links/connections and class/caste etc
Thats why its a lot harder even for a sincere hard worker to do even the most simple things the "legit" way.

I don't think it's a guarentee that we are here as permanent residents.
Integration didn't stop what happened to European Jews or Bosnian Muslims.

If we ignore Pakistan it will become more corrupt and further stuck in its ways.
I think Western Muslims' Islamic revival has given us a new set of values with which we can tackle caste systems and corruption.
Things will only get harder if honest people sit back and do nothing...

Ever since it got it’s independence , for the last 59 years your country is beyond corrupt, don’t let it get to another 59 years then it really would be doomed, if not already 😢 .
Has the MinHaj gange failed in their policy to install social justice? Perhaps Pakistan and Justice are two opposites, like marriage and adultery.

No I do not want an apology.
In the relevant topic, I told you to apologise to MuslimSister for implying she is a zombie.
I would advise you to do so. And quickly. before my patience runs out.
And you are being nationalistic by not being able to see anything good at all in a whole nation. I may have been joking at first, but it's borderline racist.
