Over the last 1400 as Islam has spread many different interpretations have arisen.
Sometimes the differences in opinion have led to the creation of individual sects. But many of the sects often have much more in common than they let on. EG there are many scholars out there who would be equally acceptable to both Deobandis and Brelwis.

Med, Allah (swt) is closer to you than your jugular vein. (and no I am not telling you to slit your throat!)
Remember no matter how bad your life is, its still precious. And you do have it better than many many others. your wish sounds ungrateful. Inshallah you will overcome whatever is currently making you so depressed.
The above does sound slightly hypocritical as I have not always embraced life myself. Seen it more as a chore. Something to live through. But currently I am in the summer mood. (I find winter pretty depressing. Short bleak days and long night. Don't mind the temperature etc, but the general lack of brightness is depressing to me. And the long bright days of summer are very uplifting.)

we can make du'a to die a shaheed. dunno if that's what Meds referring to though.
if your wish is due to life's problems, then that's not right, and you should make du'a instead for Allah to pull you through, and bring you out of this phase with a stronger imaan than you had before it. and remember, Allah ta'ala never burdens us with more than we can bear.
if however your du'a refers to dieing a shaheed, then i would say Ameen, and may Allah bless us all with the death and status of the shuhadaa.

All Muslims do follow Quran and Sunnah but there is room for interpretation and legitimate disagreement. There are four original schools of thought:
