and which ones would they be?

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

Regarding teaching - how does one prepare for an interview?

Also - are there set books that have to be taught in different years or just general/random guidelines and teacher has to follow those?

ne help wud be appreciated.

What type of interview is it?

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

1-depends on the type of interview

2-u need the National Curriculum (in every subject-this is a MASSIVE BOOK) and Syllabus's and book of "key words" of every subject (i.e in year 1 they should know, "square, tringle, rectantagle" blah blah blah)

the above mentioned books are very very thick and divided according to year group

my older sister was given these books in her enrollment-never seen them in the shops

i study them books on a daily basis much more then she does-i'm making my baby sis very clever so she's well ahead of her year group Dirol

is it making u any cleverer tho?

In my PGCE interview I had to sit an English and math’s exam, lead a ten minute presentation and was grilled for 20minutes…

The above is the “standard” interview for teaching. You're expected to have done your reading...and you need to have some experince in a school setting.

Reg book…yes there are set books for teaching, you’ll need to get your hands on the latest National Curriculum for every subject, HOW you teach is totally up to you…however, when it comes to WHAT you have to teach, you have to follow the set books which are government guidelines…..one cant get through the primary/high school SATs or GCSE’s etc unless they follow the National Curriculum from day one.

Jazakumullahu Khayran wa ahsanul jaza. to both the sisters.

This national curriculum book is available in shops/libraries or some special retail outlet?

Have nothing against eastern Europeans, whether they are from Poland, Latvia or other ex communist state, thank’s to the heroic Mujahidden for defeating communist Russians, and thus handing independence to many of these countries. The very reason why we (South Asians) come to the UK is why they arrived- would be a hypocrite to challenge their reason for being here. I meet a polish revert a few months back, and Marsh’ Allah he is a hardworking brother, like the Bosnians also.

I’ll never get tired of helping them to navigate around the tube

But their social behavior is a little rowdy , they do like to drink and that will be their downfall.

Mawlana Shah Phoolpuri rahimahullah would say:

Quote:
"At every given moment there are numerous bounties and favours of ALLAH upon men. But if even for a moment some such incident takes place which brings with it a problem and outwardly causes some difficulty, man loses patience and fails to be grateful. On the other hand, there are those to whom through the blessings and company of the Saintly ones, ALLAH has granted a good understanding of deeni affairs, so that when sorrows and difficulties touches them, they remain happy and pleased with their Lord. At such times, they draw strength from their good understanding of deen and realise that this world is like a hospital and we are all like patients in it. There are times when the doctor gives the patient medicine like halwa e badaam (sweet medicine) to eat and at other times feeds them chara-ita and ghuloo e neb which are very bitter. However, in both of these there are beneficial results for the patient. Similarly, ALLAH is Hakeem and at the same time Haakim. He is also Raheem. Hence, whatever conditions are to begall us in accordance with ALLAH's pre-determination, whether it brings out comfort or discomfort, all these are for our benefit and in our interest. "

The ulama have written in great depth about calamities which befall us in life and have also advised on how we as the slaves of ALLAH are to respond.

It has also been taught in the ahadeeth that for some servants of ALLAH, a high rank has been determined but sometimes the servant has not acquired the good deeds necessary for such a rank. Hence ALLAH ta'ala causes him to become involved in calamities, which if he accepts and bears patiently, he is able to reach that high position.

Although it is bitter to bear calamities and misfortunes with patience, it is still a most beneficial medicine that brightens the hearts of the believers and high ranks which are unattainable through years of mujaahadah become attained with great speed through patience in the face of difficulty.

Enough for believers should be the fact that ALLAH azza wa jal mentions in the Book:

"innALLAHA ma'as Saabireen."

Truly Allah is with patient ones.

When a person attains this rank of patience and has attained ALLAH - then there is nothing but high reward and blessings from the Lord of the Arsh.

This world is temporary - we are only guests of the dunya for a few more days. Whether these days are days of comfort and peace we should not become overjoyed at this, or whether these are days of sadness and calamities we should not become despondent at this because whatever this world is - its reality is nothing but dust. The true life is the life of the aakhirah which is never ending and thats the one we have to prepare for.

Getting attached to the joys and sorrows of this world is futile - whereas being concerned about the joys and sorrows of the aakhirah is fruitful. This world is an illusion and too often we are deceived by it - nothing has anything meaning save ALLAH and He ta'ala is the One of Power and the One we need to attach to.

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullah.

Close extremist schools - Kelly

Islamic schools that promote "isolationism" and extremism should be closed, Communities Secretary Ruth Kelly has said.

She added the government was opposed to any form of law contrary to British civil law, such as Sharia law.

She said the government had to "stamp out" Muslim schools which were trying to change British society to fit Islamic values.

"They should be shut down," she said. "Different institutions are open to abuse and where we find abuse we have got to stamp it out and prevent that happening."

Ms Kelly said the government would not allow any other form of law - such as Islamic Sharia law - to be legal for family use.

"We are not going down that route. We don't think that's compatible with Britain being a tolerant, diverse society that welcomes people of different faiths."
