Is MuslimSis a teacher innit?

Does a person have to be qualified to teach in UK? Something abt PGCE I think?

Can someone be a teacher with no degree and no qualification apart from A Levels and GCSEs? Cos a person I know has recently been offered a job in a jamia but he doesnt have any teaching certificates/qualifications. Is that possible?

I'm a teacher wannabe..

I'm doing my PGCE atm (teacher's training course).

To be a qualified teacher one must pass their English, maths and science GCSE, they must have a degree and must have their PGCE.

Some Islamic schools are more laid back when it comes to this issue, they don't stress that you must have your degree or PGCE....however, with the back up of your PGCE nearly every school will accept you...without a PGCE you may get accepted into one school. However, you don't have that guarentee that another school may take you on in the future should you wish to change schools.

JazakALLAH.

So I take from that it would be legit for the person to teach in the Jamia.

Is teaching easy though? The brothers not taught secular subject before and is a bit daunted by the responsibility. So if he was teaching upto GCSE english he'd just work from the government syllabus, right and get support from the other teachers. Nothing more to it - right?

thank you.

It is legit...its up to the headteacher/senior members of staff who they wish to take on.

Teaching is not easy...and knowledge of the education system is vital.

I'm doing a one year intense course at the moment that mainly focus's on syllabus's, theory's/methods on how kids learn best and I'm being tested on my English, maths and science (A level standard) just to teach kids in a primary school.

I don't know the brother so I don't know his strengths and weakness's...however, I'd advise him to work VERY closely with other teachers and to reg visit teaching websites/newspaper etc to keep up with the system...cos its always being changed.

Does anyone here know why after someone gets married in pakistan the hat thing the groom wears on the wedding day gets taken to the darbar to be left there amongst hundreds of other hats. Or maybe its something to do with our area back home. It does not make sense to me.

Maybe

Surprising alot of people dont know much about ones culture if thats that

There were like 6 cousin weddings in pakiland this time round and all the grooms had their Topis taken to the darbar, when asked a few why...they didnt have a clue, just said cos everyone here does.

Maybe the Oldies have their superstitious beliefs... have to ask my nani this one.

coming from a grave worshipper, i never heard of that one lol

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

depends from what end i guess.

As you've mentioned it I've taken a look outta my window and its the same as always.

The sky's dark and I don't see no moon. My windows west facing btw.

The sky is always beautiful, pitch dark with stars scattered everywhere with the moon shining wat a beauty - why wouldnt it be, Allah (swt) made it...

That's not fair Sad I don't see no stars.

When I went back home, I used to go out and stare at the sky and it looked amazing seeing the thousands and millions of stars.

beshak - the sky does look beautiful always. But some days you just appreciate it more. I tend to be a sky-gazer - its soo vast, so immense and so perfect - puts little me into perspective even if its only for a few moments.

But sometimes the sky looks extra-special or maybe its because for some reason some days we are more receptive to seeing the wonders of ALLAH?

Dunno what it is - but either way the sky is mashaALLAH amazing. Biggrin
