Yea defo - even in March the days will still be short - AND it's not like it's particularly hot so I will be retaining moisture like a pro.
This one's in the bag.

I personally think fasting is quite easy really, it only take a couple of days to get used to it and u rolling. But saying that, fasting here in England in the summer is crazy, i would rate the people who would be able to do that, basically u do iftar at 10ish, chill for a hour or so, then off to Tarweeh and Isha, by the time u get back it time for sehri as it 1-2 o'clock. That how my uncle told me how they did it.

das crazy.....
does anyone know when the last summer fasts were ?

The fasting was the fasting of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam and the Sahaabah Karaam alayhim ridhwaan.
In the heat of the desert - doesnt matter if its summer or winter a desert is always hot - with little water at the best of times, plus constant activity to protect Madinah Munawwarah and engage in battles and skirmishes and raids.
No AC, no fans, no comforts. subhanALLAH.
Btw fasting was unknown to the arabs before islaam. The words for fasting were used to train horses. They were made to "fast" so they would be fit and swift for battle. According to Mawlana Israr Ahmad Sahib this is one of the strong proofs that fasting was prescribed partly to give the Muslims training for fighting in the battlefield.

I remember opening my fast at about 9 o clock when i was about 6-7 years old, so that nearly 20 years ago, give it another 10-15 years and we should be in the summer fast again.
