ive never been taxed muahahahah. I've done nothing dodgy. My sis told me you have to reach a certain level in your income., then you're given a tax code and you begin to get taxed. I guess coz i only worked part time throughout my school, college and uni days i never earned enough money to get taxed. i did enuff over time though. girls at work used to be fuming, how come she dunt get taxed, take it out with the inland revenue luv

You're part of society, like it or lump it. You're required to pool some of your resources for the greater good. Otherwise you probably wouldn't. The deal with that is that you invest through taxes in public services, mostly according to what you can afford (a percentage of income scaled by earnings, a percentage of spending, windfall taxes, locally a flat sum, and access to welfare). I would not assume that taxes are spent wisely, but nor would I question the wisdom of taxation. It is no excuse to be idle.
