ok I will moderate Omrows comments.
Med was not banned for that silly topic, but because after it was locked he came into this topic just to cause an uproar.
He was trolling just for the sake of it.
Unfortunately there are too many insults flying about. We (the moderating team) try to cut it out.
and to be frank when people insult deobandi's etc it has so far resulted in more action when others are called grave worshippers. All you see is what is posted in public.
I have had rank exchanges with other members to cut out such behaviour.
And to be fair, its not as if it was a one off by med. He did have a habit of almost insults that most of us just ignored. He was not on the defense, but positively trolling.
I gave him a chance, and he replied that he is not willing to negotiate. What do you epect me to do?
Ofcourse there is hypocrisy involved. After all I am human. But I still think I had no choice.

I listened to a speech yesterday (yes, me! why you coughing your drink out?) and the scholar said that in argument on wether a person is muslim or not classical scholars have said that if there are 9 proofs pointing to kufr, and one pointing to the person being muslim, then the one proof should be taken over the 9.

Who was the scholar?
Was this at an event or on audio/video?
Submitted by You on 29 January, 2006 - 18:43 #2646
It was at a small event.
Ed what is that guy called? (I know you never went... but I am not good at names...)
He is from Bradistan I think... some guys are doing history of Imam Abu hanifa round their house... and I got an invite... along with 80 or so other people. (its a big room... but anything more than about 30-40 is IMO cramping it...)
After 4 months we have got to the birth of Imam abu hanifa! (1 hour a month as the guy is busy...)

Yup that is the guy.
I find it almost interesting as its not really a proper talk... and many history is pretty bad. But most of the stuff is very pointless... if the stuff was organised diferently it could be better...
...and stop nicking my line! I say everything is a waste of time, and they are pointless. Either pay me royalties for using the term, or make your own!

Thats a top saying.
Imam Abu Hanifah said that if one has 99 signs of Kufr and one sign of being a good person then we can not label him a bad man..
(So is it 99 out of hundred or 9 out of ten.. :? )

I have this habit of not paying attention.
People can be speaking to me and I can be listening without actually taking in a word.
And since the lecture was about Imam Abu Hanifa, I'd go with what you wrote.

Hi Omrow,
You definitely have special status here, I think you could be The Revival Forums Member Laureate and have the letters RFML after your name, a one-off lifetime privilege.
I believe Dave is on holiday with his girlfriend but that Beast caught him popping into the forums just earlier.
I hope you don't mind me asking: Do you believe Motion  is a great poet :? or is it more the idea of him, you know, being laureate and championing poetry as therapy for the scrubbers  and writing archaic verses  or basically something other than his actual poetry?
Since you are RFML I am also wondering if you have a position on inserting smileys in prose.

It is a salient feature of the halwa eaters to exchange gifts on the commemoration of their day of birth. They also engage in wild party raves and there is no separation of the men and women. Is this not an imitation of the Dirty Kufar!
I have said what was in me and i shall not congratulate you on closeness to the grave.
