How do you know if your in love?

Medarris —

OK, I know that a lot of people have made topics on love before from different angles but I havent been involved in those topics and perhaps some of them occurred before I graced this forum with my presence, lol!!!

Basically, I want to know how do you know if your in love? What are the signs and symptoms of this disease. And pls I am referring to boy-girl love so keep to this type of love, im NOT chatting about brotherly, filial, paternal love etc.

(Dont go get any ideas, im only asking)

I went into Waterstones and seen it. Very small and only a few words on each page.

So I bought 'The Rumi Collection' and 'Mathnawi' instead.

The works of Rumi is fantastic…he is loved even by the non Muslims. I borrowed the first volume of the Mathnawi from a mate once….but the English was SO difficult to understand. It was written in this posh/very old English.

I usually buy his poems/summarised versions of the Mathnawi.

AdminNo, just following your lead.

why are we whispering?

I wasn't whispering. I was thinking out loud, hence the ** marks.

Perhaps we should stop now cuz this is weird

Bats are totally blind, so if you are as they, you are rather an extraordinarily unique bat

to what extent do you reckon its true, if it all:

"better to loved and lost, than to never have loved at all"

is it one of those things that yu should stay away from entirely, or can you actually learn something from the past?

OmrowSalam

That saying is not true.

That which is lost was never love.

You can never lose in love.

Love always wins.

Omrow

lol, spoken like a true romantic

Salaam

I agree. Too many people misuse and abuse this concept.

True love is lasts forever.

The Holy Prophet ﷺ still dearly loved his wife Hadrat Khadija (ra) even after she passed away and He remarried...He spoke about her fondly and respected her sister who reminded Him of her...

Waslaam

ok, i'll rephrase.......does experience help u learn for next time?

i think if u truly love then u might love again sort of , but the next time will never be the same as the first.

actually i dont think u can love again after ur first.

no doubt Holy Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam DID love Ammi Aisha radhiyallahu anha. But even then, Sayyidatuna Aisha radhiyallahu anha has narrated that Holy Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam loved Ammi Khadeejah tul Kubra radhiyallahu anha the most.
