The Religion in the Math

So apparently theres a simple, mathematical way of figuring out whose religious and whose not. It worked for me, so maybe it will for you too.

Heres the problem:

Quote:
If a cricketball and a bat cost £110, and the bat costs £100 more than the ball, how much does the ball cost?

I'll reveal the answer once everyons had a chance to reply. First answer is final, no going back and changing it.

£105?

*Scratches head* *Thinking cap on*

Ball + Bat = £110.00 If the ball is £5.00, 'then the bat is £100.00 more', so the bat is actually £105.00. When you add this together, ta-daah! You get £5.00 + £105.00 which gives you £110.00?

*Stops scratching head* *Thinking cap off*

Leaves Maths for some Chemistry.

10?

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

That's what I thought, but my maths skills are dispicable so I thought I'd better stay quiet o.O

Lol the math on here is shocking!]

The answer is £5.

Apparently those who got it wrong were supposedly religious and those who got it right werent. Probably not a great test but that was the hypothesis.

Personally i thought it was a load of horse manure.

And I heard as it were, the noise of thunder. One of the four beasts saying come and see and I beheld, a pale horse. And his name that sat on him was Death... and Hell followed with him.

The hypothesis seems to be based on some assumption that maths and religion aren't compatible, or something?!

I got the figures right, just the wrong way around.

Not my fault I didnt pay attention to which was more expensive/what the question was!

At least one person got it right. Maybe we should promote that individual to become the Revival Accountant?

Hummus got it right too

Auditors just pretend they know what they're talking about but in reality have NO IDEA what day of the week it is.

I've had emails on Sunday morning at 3.30am from the auditors asking the stupisedt things.

Yeah - you read it right, 3.30 on Sunday morning....
