How do we know what Madhab we belong to?

Question in the title.

For those not familiar with the term madhab:

erm... sometimes you do specific actions that are different from others.

Sometimes you dont.

best way is to ask I guess.

being of one madhab or another is not a bad thing, but finding out and clarifying can be good as it can help avoid confusion on why people do things differently.

also something to remember is that madhabs/rulings can have context that changes from time to time.

A lot of the rulings can be influenced by the "common sense" of the time - something which may no longer be the common sense thing due to different culture or technological change.

You dont have to follow any mad hab.

These are all bidahs.

There is only one true Islam. It is Divine Religion from God.
God revealed Islam to humanity through the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
Then Imam Ali was appointed by the Prophet to protect Islam.

Thats it.

If you follow the truth, then you are on the straight path.
If you reject the truth, then you are on Satan's path.
