Two boats carrying pro-Palestinian activists have entered international waters after sailing from Turkey with the aim of breaking Israel's sea blockade of Gaza.

But if they werent allowed to provide the aid the previous time, why would israel allow them to pass this time? Still good of Turkey though.

Its not a Turkish initiative - its by other protesters.

and Israel says it will stop them.

but this time there are no turks on board so they cant blame them for any violence.

so is there any point? but the boat is leaving from turkey, they must have something to do with it.

Yes, there is a point.

It raises awareness, shows the blockade to be crazy and allows the issue to be raised and discussed.

If they do get through, then some vital medication is also delivered.

The idea is to keep challenging the blockade until it collapses.
