An inspector calls

salams,

we've just completed an inspector calles by j.b priestly for our GCSE's, and it is the most suspensefull book i have ever read in my life! however i dont fully understand the ending. if anyonw has read or studied it, would u care to explain. and other comments on the book.

Its interesting because priestly does use the book as portal to voice his communist ideologies and its quite clear that its a blatant negative portrayal of capitalism.

If your going to try to sound intelligent in a post, at least get the grammer correct!

then surely there would be no "a" and blatan is an adjective whereas blatantly is an adverb, right?

You are correct to take out the 'a'. Well done, have a gold star. You could also put a comma after 'blatant'.

I read an Inspector Calls for GCSE but cannot remember anything about it other than the title.

but what was wrong with writing blatant?

Nothing, but since you said it was both 'blatant' AND 'negative' you need to put in a comma since you are listing properties of something.

Can we not get bogged down in this grammer correcting... its very tedious.

Unfortunately i barely remember the basic plot line to 'An Inspector Calls', but it was such a long time ago. I dont really remember much about it.

But it was funny seeing steinbeck vent his frustrations with women through the portrayal of curlys wife but the book was pretty good.

That should have a capital letter at the beginning, Noor. I was going to say that the number '2' is not an adequate substitute for a preposition, but didn't want to sound pedantic.

that's something new, Noor leaving the ed team?

To Kill a Mockingbird kicks Mice and Men's ass anyday! Mockingbird is about racism in Alabama, the alienation of people and a lawyer and father (Atticus Finch) who tries to raise his children in the 1930s/40s.
It's an excellent read and way better than of Mice and Men. Very relevent to Muslims today.

Chin up, mate! Life's too short.
