Jermaine Jackson wants Michael to convert to Islam

Quote:
Jermaine Jackson said on Monday he wants his brother Michael to convert to Islam; and he believes the reclusive superstar has given it serious thought.

"Michael, I feel, needs to become a Muslim because I think it's a great protection for him from all the things that he's been attacked with, which are false," said the former Jackson Five singer who now lives in Bahrain.

"There's a strength and protection there," Jackson told BBC Asian Newtwork after finishing runner-up to Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty in the "Celebrity Big Brother" TV reality show that was marred by accusations of racist bullying.

Jackson said he believed his brother had given conversion "serious thought" during long spells in Bahrain.

"I was the reason why he had gone there because I wanted him to get out of America and just go somewhere it's peaceful and quiet and people pray five times a day which is beautiful."

Michael Jackson was acquitted of child molestation charges in June 2005.

He has said he plans to move to Europe in a bid to resurrect his musical career as the "King of Pop" and has indicated he will release a new album in 2007.

Jermaine Jackson said his faith helped keep him sane in the enclosed confines of the British reality TV program where the contestants are kept cooped up under 24-hour surveillance.

"If I didn't have Allah and my prayer rug, I would not have survived and the reason why is because it kept me focused, it kept me calm," he said.

I thought Jermain Jackson was a genuine nice guy and showed a good example of a muslim

too bad bout his deranged brother roll

Well, well, well is it me or someone is being too finicky here? As I don't mind being told to use the correct procedures. You shouldn't also mind being told to upgrade your FAQs. If I am not mistaken I believe there isn't any terms that state this is how things should be done here.

I dont think its an actual rule its just better presentation wise... so dmy.

I admit i didnt watch it 24/7 but i did watch some of it and from what i saw i thought Jermain was a pretty cool guy. I would be cool if Michael converted too... but no biggie if he didnt.

Back in BLACK

I hardly saw any of the show but I too think Jermaine was good, yeah he isn't perfect, but he's still a good example of a Muslim. And we're kind of desperate for some.

As for Michael Jackson converting - woooaaaahhh!!! The media would have a field day - both him and Islam are probably equally hated, they'll portray it like a match made in heaven.

Michael Jackson has made some brilliant music, probably the best. Anything else about him just worries me. If he wants to convert it's brilliant, but I think it's just speculation and publicity....I remember hearing about this before a few times, and didn't he go through a kabbalah phase as well?

I just find the long links annoying. And if uit was making the page stretch on my 20" widescreen monitor, thing of the poor souls with the inferior 19" or lower models!
