Broken Bones

whose broke a bone ?
how many ?
how long did it take to heal?

question? if you have a cast covering your hand and forearm , can you still do wudu and is it valid cuz you obviously cant wash or clean that arm ?

just wipe over the cast.

Broke my arm when I was 16. Only major thing that has ever gone wrong for me.

Broke one of the bones, fractures the other and dislocated the wrist.

The wrist still gives me problems, as when bones mend they beome stronger. Not so with joints.

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

I broke my arm when I was four, had a cast on for ages and according to mum was in agony all thanks to my bro who thought it was funny to pull the table on which I was sitting on  Also at that time I think I had to get stitches in my hand coz a glass cut right into it, ouch! (stitches will remain with me forever  )

In regards to wudhu, you just wipe over it like admin said (it's known as masah I think) and wudhu is valid due to your circumstances.

I fractured one my foot back in college, had a caste over it was on crutches... god it was tiring walking around on them... on the upside i did build greater upper-body strength as a result.

I was on them for a month... i regularly exercised and pushed my recovery. Although its fine now i do still sometimes have pains in that foot if i drive for a very long time (exceeding an hours drive will irritate it).

Ive jus broke one bone in my hand and fractured another , i never had a break before so i didnt realise at the time and jus thought its bruising and i even drove home with it , went home and my brother whose a doctor told me its broken

now i got 6 weeks of no exercise and no driving Sad

you never realise how valuable your bones are until you break one :?

I've never broken a bone or hurt myself badly ever Allahamdulilah and i hope it stays that way!

broke my leg when i was between 8-10 yrs old. Leg was totally gone they thght it had to be amputated at first but luckily for me i retained my leg. Was in a cast for a few months. Had to go to a specialist school for a while. loved it pick me up and return me home everyday. loved my wheelchair. when whether was bad theyd always have discos with lights and food in the hall for the kids education was hard what can i say?

swimming every morn to help with recovery. crutches later on. i cudant get my balance right with a cast on tho, i fell out of my bed quiet a few times at night whilst turning over looool.

I can however still recall the pain, the theatre, the ambulance lights, the main rd come to a halt, it was crazy.

funnily enuf ok bad word, not funny most members in my family have broken a leg. part an parcel of living on a busy rd huh? lol i shudant laugh cud have been fatal.

yash... if u dont mind me asking: how did you break your leg?

I broke my collar bone, arm, wrist, shattered my elbow, and messed up my leg pretty well when I got shot. The longest I ever had to wait until I felt good again was about 9 months.

I dunno how you'd be able to do wudu with a cast. It's disgusting when you get it off because your skin is all yellow and there is lots of dead skin, get a coat hanger - you'll see why in a couple weeks.

Goodluck

Ouch, could have been worse though... at least you didn't try to catch it with your face.

That isn't comforting... is it...

I'm so bad at this.

Come to think of it I got messed up REAL GOOD when I fell off and got dragged once, that was awful I'm lucky I didn't get kicked that kind of ended my polo career.

I haven't ever broken anything, but I did once trap my thumb in the car door, it sounds pathetic, but seriousely, I have never known pain like that in my life. I had to go to the hospital to have a hole drilled through my nail to release the pressure. The relief was supposed to be immediate but it wasn't - I was in complete and utter agony for 2 weeks, and totally unable to use my right hand at all. My nail eventually fell off after about 4 months .....but it has grown back.....Thank God!!! And yeah, that was my main concern! No seriousely, it did make me think about how fortunate we are. I remember feeling awkward asking my sister to wash my hair for me, and everything else i just struggled with, and to think I only hurt my hand. I took so much for granted and unfortuanately I forget and still do. Despite the down times, if we were to thank Allah swt for all that He has given us we'd be on the prayer mat forever.

ouch. summat like that happened to my aunt, her horse got scared and bolted, she fell off but her foot got caught in the stirrups. the broken bones healed obviously, but she's had back pain ever since. Sad thank God i've never had to go through something like that, and hopefully i never will.

My sister broke her bone when she was a little girl….my good for nothing brother thought it’d be funny to stick his leg out and trip her up when she was running…I can still remember her screams.

Broken bones take forever to heal and you feel so helpless and dependent on those around you…thankfully I haven’t ever broken anything, but many of my family members have, I know how frustrating it can get when you're unable to do simple stuff for yourself.

a cousin of mine has had a road accident

tell your cousin she's (relatively) lucky, i know of someone who got ran over by a bus, it was horrible, she passed away the next day, leaving behind 4 little kids. the bus driver was a jaahil, i think they took him to court too. she had loads of shopping bags in her hands and was about to get on the bus wen he closed the bus doors all of a sudden (you know how they do that sometimes out of spite) and sped away, but her hijab had got stuck in the door. Cray 2 such people deserve to be locked up for good and have the key thrown away.

My granddad got run over by a bus and died in Pk. He got knocked off cz it was too packed and i don’t think the driver realised.

Totally random but I had a dream last night where a guy I know got hit by a bus and probably died (dream was pretty inconclusive).

First dream I can rememberr in eons. Cool. Blum 3

all my family has been in accidents. my bruv had a car run over his toes coz he stood in the middle of the rd a tad bit off the middle mark. he came home in pain went A&E nothing broken just some pain. after that i couldn't stop laughing ....im cruel

my dad got knocked by a car that sped onto the pavement he was hurled into a wall which was unstable and broke. he walked home dishevelled and in shock. but once again thank god he was ok. months later we laughed about it...tis not funny i know but wen its narrated it sounds funny Lol

my sis motorbike accident like moi

my lil brother near miss as a toddler ran out onto middle of the rd via the back garden, thgt hed talk to the cars....

all these incidences happened on the same rd parents continue to live there no fear factor. mum gets big lorries and trucks to let her cross down the middle of the rd, shes off her rocker ive told her use the lights, but i can understand its quicker to go thru the middle shop is right opp that way. perhaps they shud make walking in middle of rd an offence as it is in america.

I admit i wanted to run across the rd coz it was empty but apparently u have to use the lights over there coz if u get caught u get fined or something?
