it keeps deleting my posts with no path to recovery.
Its form handling is horrendous.

I had forgotten about this bug.
Creating a firefox profile (and copying over some of the relevant data) has fixed this problem for me, so there was some corruption somewhere in the profile data.
Problem solved.
