Shaytaan's messing with my thoughts -_-

So it's that time of year again! :D... No not winter, christmas and SALES but Hajj, sacrifices and EID Biggrin

My parents just mentioned going on hajj and stuff which reminded me of something. Couple of years ago my parents mentioned that we might all go to Umrah.

My immediate thoughts:

OMG i'm not ready! i can't go yet!

What if i don't *feel* the spirtualness, the closeness, the awe, the love

What if i just can't concentrate?!

What do i tell mum and dad, though? I can't say I don't want to go

:S

We didn't end up going.

But I now realise, that was all just Shaytaan putting me off from going. Whispering in my ear. Trying to create fear by using one of my greatest fears.

Even though i still feel the whole "what if situations", I know if I ever get the opportunity to go, I should take it. And (InshaAllah) I will NEVER regret it.

May Allah(Swt) bless us all with the joy of entering his house and getting a chance to remove all our sins. Ameen.

The shaytan did not need to put you off as it would have all been out of your control - if your parents say jump, you go how high.

So congrats, you made the shaytan waste some energy.

(for some things there is no such thing as "being ready" - that can either be fear when its beforehand, or you trying to convince yourself that things are for the best the way they have gone if it is after.)

huh? :S how can you think about being ready if something has already taken place?

Maybe it nevre took place, got cancelled etc. and then you hear "I wasn't ready anyway" (which I heard someone use and bit my tongue afterwards... they are allowed to console themselves.)
