Al-Ghazali

Hmm.

"If a woman offered one of her breasts to be cooked and the other to be roasted, she still will fall short of fulfilling her obligations to her husband. And besides that if she disobeys her husband even for a twinkling of an eye, she would be thrown in the lowest part of Hell, except she repents and turns back."

By Mohammad Tuffaha, Ahmad Zaky, Al-Mar'ah wal- Islam, Dar al-Kitab al- Lubnani, Beirut, first edition, 1985, p. 176. It is also quoted in Al- Musanaf by Abu Bakr Ahmad Ibn 'Abd Allah Ibn Mousa Al-Kanadi who lived 557H., vol. 1 part 2, p. 255.

Hiding other peoples sins

Someone shared an odd and quite funny news story but I’m not going to tell you what it is. Sorry. I’m not trying to create any suspense either.  See this story revealed a sin of a Muslim (I guessed from the name), however it wasn’t a story that needed to be shared, we are not in danger of being hurt by this person and it’s more entertaining than newsworthy. So this reminded me of a question I’ve thought of before – should we be sharing news, blogs, pictures, videos of people doing things they shouldn’t be? Does this fall under not hiding the sin of a fellow believer? I fear it may do, so that is why I choose not to share that story, to be on the safe side.

I may have been a little vague, but if you got my point, what do you think?

Iodine made America Smarter (and Healthier) - Pakistanis are scared of it.

Article.

In Pakistan, adding Iodine can get you killed though as there has been common stories about how the west is trying to sterilise them to stop future generations...

When you go Pakisan, you will see a lot of people with inflamed necks/throats. This is also due to iodine defficiency and it can be cured for around 5 years from first inflammation. After that it can become permanent.

To be fair to Pakistanis, the CIA did use the polio vaccine program as a major front in their hunt for Bin Laden. When people lise trust with medical programs, this causes problems, like the recent rise in Measles in the UK following the MMR vaccination scare a decade or so ago.

Let me know what you think

Israel to free Palestinian prisoners. I say: About time too.

Quote:
Israel says it will release a number of Palestinian prisoners as part of an agreement made with US Secretary of State John Kerry to resume peace talks.

Yuval Steinitz, minister responsible for international relations, said it would involve "heavyweight prisoners in jail for decades".

Mr Kerry announced on Friday that initial talks would be held in Washington "in the next week or so".

The Israeli minister's remarks are the first details of the deal.

Mr Kerry had declined to tell reporters in Amman what the two sides had agreed to, saying that the "best way to give these negotiations a chance is to keep them private".
