oh ofcourse there isn't.

because that would mean giving a face to their dead - God forbid, we wouldnt want to take them out of their de-humanised state now would we, we might end up feeling sorry for them.

You have misunderstood me.

If any1 wants to give lists of dead as Dave did, then they should list dead on both sides.

Aasiyah, trying tp paint me as dehumanising the western dead is not gonna work. Alhamdulillah i have made clear i dont like US army.

i have also made clear that innocents deaths on all sides are equal. If you or any1 else tries to insinuate or suggest that I am dehumanising or devaluing one side then thats your own choice.

All my posts here have alhamdulillh been consistent.

Nah med's got a point - it's absurd and hypocritical for americans to list off all their dead and pretend our hands aren't bloody too.

At least our dead have names - I don't know the name of one single child that was killed to my cheering when I thought we were killing Zawahiri a couple days ago.

Like I said before Zawahiri isn't worth this.

That said - I was talkin exclusively to Ziggy. Whereas I at least admit what we do and condemn it with moderate hypocrisy - Ziggy is glorifying that civilian beheading animal - and as yall know im a hot head I don't mind shoving his face in what his heros been up to. Aasiyah knows that and that's what shes talkin abuot

yall are on different wavelengths

So lets not have any arguments stemming from comments I made directly toward Ziggy.

I dont want anybody confusin med for ziggy - he didn't know some of the stuff zig was sayin and he apologised for having defended him and he joined in the chorus askin for him to apologize to lilsis.

mashaALLAH, as usual a voice of reason bruv.

may ALLAH ennoble your heart with imaan. ameen hehehe

If some people want to box me into one category cos that makes it easy for them then Im all for whatever makes othres lives easier.

Even if it is deliberately ignoring a number of my posts which have been saying the same tihng over and over.

Some people just like to be biased, good for them, we cant all be unbiased.

Med you are wrong.

You always will be.

exactly - Med i thought u were making an unfair comment considering u were addressing Dave - we all know him, he's an old member, and we KNOW that he doesnt weigh muslim deaths any less than those of non-musims.

if it was a random new member u wer making the comment to, i wouldnt have questioned it.

but uv clarified that i guess so fair enuf, i'll let it drop.

sorry if u feel i insulted u.

now uv misunderstood my post - who Dave addressed in his post was irrelevant, the point i was making is that because it was Dave who made the 'list', ur reply wasnt applicable because we KNOW that he doesnt deny the death of Muslims...

How many people on this forum have lost somebody they knew as either a result of terrorism, or the military response to it?

Anybody else want to take a stab at answering this one it's been on my mind for a while?

as far as I know I have not lost anyone.

I am changing the above.

Near the village in kashmir where we have alot of relatives there was a terrorist bombing a few years ago. Some people died. I cannot remember if any relatives died though... (it has been pointed out that I am cold hearted...)

(and this links in with the Kashmir topic... the bomber was caught trying to get across the border...)

Sorry for you Admin.

Was he a Pakistani or an Indian bomber?

No need to be sorry. I am pretty sure that people died though... but cannot really recall...

I am not 100% sure... but from the way it was described, he infiltrated pakistani held kashmir for his mission... was slightly injured... and when he tried to return to indian held kashmir some people became suspicious...

So he was probably of Indian origin.

That is the ONLY time I think such an event has occurred near this area. Terrorism was virtually unheard of there.

Wow... that's messed up.

I've heard the Indians complain before about terrorism being used against them in Kashmir. - Two way street apparently.

This must have been a while ago judging by how hazy you seem to be on the details... were you pretty young?

It was between 2 and 7 years ago.

Its just something I totally forgot about til now.

I cannot remember much at all about it though...

(its only recently my memmory ash turned into a sieve... I have forgotten alot of spelling aswell.... and now I cannot remember names at all... but I remember alot of things from when I was younger...)

It's weird the stuff you remember and the stuff you don't with tragedies like that... I just recently called my friend (haven't talked to him in a while) to tell him i'm getting married and I wanted him to be one of my men of honor - I left basically the longest voicemail you've ever seen.

And when I hung up I realized he was in fact dead - killed in Iraq, and I had been to his funeral talked to his family and very much knew he was dead.

I can remember what I ate for breakfast when I got the call but I couldn't remember he was actually dead when I made my call recently.

painful.

was that a personal mobile... or was it the family phone? that could be very painful...

For me its just recently that I have almost lost the ability to remember.

as a kid I used to pretend my memory was not as good as it was.

As study I used to quickly scan over pages just looking at them, but not really reading anything... (this was pointed out to me. I did not realise at first! and I am a slow reader. so slow I can read english the same speed upside down as the right way up! (helps alot on a train when you forget the paper! I do not have photographic memory even though I would love to have it. At the same time I wanna forget some things which I do not seem to have the ability to forget...)

His cell... his parents still pay his Car insurance (I think)

They are having a hard time of it... his sister is really in trouble, I worry about her a lot, she's a really sweet girl but she's getting in with a bad crowd.

But yea... when I realized what happened it hit hard. I've been a little weird lately.

Hey maybe you shuold get that checked... lol sounds like the early stages of dementia or something

The other symptoms being for the last couple of years I am almost always mentally tired. I can sleep without waking for 18-20 hours straight if not woken by alarm or someone else...

and for the last few years I have not had the will to do anything at all...

Could be serious... but I doubt it.

The worst thing is I ran into this guy I worked with for 6 months. he now works where I work. I have not told him, but I have no recollection of him whatsoever. But then again, even in my younger days I was not good at remembering people or faces...

[EDIT]

I have diagnosed the disease. It is very dangerous. It is chronic laziness.

ahh I've got that too!

Just ask my still unwritten senior paper!

It must be contagious.

More virulent than bird flu. It can even contaminate across cyberspace!

lol I also notice it comes with age and responsibility. The greater the responsibility - the more obvious the symptoms

Do you think they will give us a nobel prize for this discovery?

you write the letter to inform the judges about it.
