Allah prefers 10 Days Dhul-Hijjah over All Days of the year

I think the first ten days of Hajj start from tomorrow. We should fast more and do a lot more dhikr.

If ones fasts on the day of Arafaat their sins for the past and coming year are forgiven.

Someone mentioned that one shouldnt cut their hair during these ten days like the people in Ihraam is that true?

It is best not to cut the hair or pare the nails in these 10 days. One is not sinful for cutting or paring but it has been recomended not to.

2 main reasons:

1. Out of respect for the sanctity of the 10 days.
2. Out of IMITATION OF THE Hujjaj.

According a hadeeth to the effect:

''Whoever imitates a people, then he is from them''.

Hence people are encouraged to imitate the hujjaj, the blessed guests of ALLAH, in these days.

Strange that innit? Not cutting hair and paring nails is deemed an act of imitating the pilgrims. But according to some dressing eatin living like a kafir is not imitation.

Do not immitate them.

Or is that not imitation? why is it not? they wear clothes, you wear clothes.

Because brother, the clothes I wear are in the sunnah of the Holy Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam.

Med; the Prophet did not do something or stop dping something because it was also done by the Kuffaar. He stopped people from doing things because they were wrong, or copied another religion in worship.

These days of Haj are indeed great. But only for those who actually go on pilgrimage.
