I Give Up!!!!!

Mujahidah

Asalamualaikum wr wb!

There r sumtimes in life were u try so hard 2 do ur best but alwayz fail or get everythin thrown at ur face.

I mean like exams, A-Level's, applying for work etc. or even when u wrk so hard makin sure ur family n friendz r alwayz happy wid u makin sure they know the latest news, latest conference's n meetings but on the other side they don't even care.

Well ive personally hav been told off in many occasions bout many things that i normally do, such as help others, mosque etc...but no matter wat ive carried on wid my decisions.

Nowdayz no matter hw much i do no one is pleased..so i feel like givin up immediately.

Wat bout u????

wen do u feel like givin up????

ive often felt the same in the past.

But you gotta remember, Allah swt would not give us such tasks in our lives if he knew we couldnt do it. the greater the test you face, the better you handle it, the greater the reward.

Strength lies from within, you occasionaly have to motivate yourself and remeber.....you can do it. trust me, once youve accomplished something you felt was impossible....you leave with a greater sense of satisfaction.

Also, praying to Allah SWT also helps! and remember....

For truly with hardship comes ease; truly with hardship comes ease. (Surat al-Inshirah: 5-6)

and

... Whoever has fear of God - He will give him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect. Whoever puts his trust in God - He will be enough for him... (Surat at-Talaq: 2-3)

and

As for those who believe and do righteous deeds - We impose on no one any more than they can bear - they are the Companions of the Garden, remaining in it forever. (Surat al-A'raf: 42)

the above shows that as long as you struggle for what is right, yuor rewards will bear sweeter fruits

Alhamdullilah brother ur rite!

I remember in last years camp when Qibla Muhtram sed Sabr (patience) n shukr (thankfulness) shuld b the 2 big rooms in ur heart.

This life is a big exam for us as we all know the real life is in the hereafter so the best option is patience.

I’ve been feeling like that for the last couple of weeks.

I’m too tired to fight and argue for stuff that isn’t even wrong….I’ve also felt like giving everything up.

Especially since, fighting, arguing and kicking up a fuss goes against my nature…doing this takes a lot out of me.

It’s true that no one is ever happy with whatever you do…even if you do listen to them.

Last night I was thinking that I could happily stay in my bedroom for the rest of my life, as long as I had access to the shower, food, internet and books….cos outside everyone does my head in.

But I think this is just a feeling that should eventually pass. It’s true that life is a test and is not meant to be easy.

Going through stressful times with Sabr only elevates your status in the eyes of Allah (swt) and brings one immeasurable rewards.

And anyway, what we go through sometimes in life is nothing compared to what the pious people who lived before us underwent…thinking about them makes things seem a bit easier.

One should always remember that Allah (swt) only tests those who He loves….and like they say “what doesn’t kill you can only make you stronger”.

I gave up long time ago

my extended family does my head in

thats why I avoid them

and cos I dont go out of my way to get into their good books-I'm known as the "black sheep" in my family

it dont bother me

I've always beleived that a person should do whatever they want to do and not give a crap what others are on

She is running away from her problems instead of trying to overcome them.

How long can she keep on the run.

It will exhaust her.

And what about the pious lady ?
Last night I was thinking that I could happily stay in my bedroom for the rest of my life, as long as I had access to the shower, food, internet and books….cos outside everyone does my head in.
Actually that would indeed be a good thing to do.

It would benefit you more, and prepare you for the rest of your life.

Presently, you are just moving with the flow, and in the process being swept by the tide.

How long before you drown ? I would say seven years max.

MuslimSisLilSis — Tue, 30 Aug 2005 - 16:37

avoiding the people that annoy you is the only sensible thing you can do....especially if you are sick n tired of trying to get through to them. they will only try and understand you when they want to...whether it causes you grief or not. never give up on the good things you try and do..i know it easy said than done .Allah swt is watchin and knows how hard you are trying! 🙂

yuit — Tue, 30 Aug 2005 - 19:09

On the first two posts, you find after a while life just grind u down, and this is a feeling that may stay with u for the rest of ur life. You will get used too it after a while and accept it, but it will always remain there. This what I have found at least and u do the best with the situation that u place urself in and everything will seem normal after a while.

I've noticed that there's always a communication issue with certain thick-skinned type of people.

They just won't listen and are admament in percieving things the way that they wish to percieve it...

I too, believe that it is pointless arguing with such people...its best just to ignore them.

Dawud — Tue, 30 Aug 2005 - 20:03

I usually go with what my heart says. Which is usually the most painful option.

If I feel like giving up and my heart thinks its something I should struggle instead, i'll start feeling all honour bound to do the right thing (struggle) or whatever my says, if ignore the feeling (even though I know my heart is probably right) I feel really guilt for ages until I make Tawba and do what my heart was asking me to or it has now moved beyond my control, I try to loose myself in Tawba and that helps.

Also never take Du'a for help lightly, if your even a tiny bit sincere then even if your worries don't miraculously disappear you get a spiritual/emotional pick me up from just connecting to and conversing with Allah (SWT), same goes for abundantly reciting Durood Sharif in time of difficulty.

Also as my form tutor liked to say: "sharing is caring", if you say whats up we might be able to help you.

Here's a story that I hope will spur you on, I have no idea where its from but its probably really famous and better than i'm going to tell it:

There was this realy pious spiritual man and i think when he died Allah SWT showed the man his life and through out his life the man could always see two tracks of foot prints and knew it was because Allah SWT was walking with him through out his life.
The man then said Ya Allah you promised that if I believed in you, then you would always stay with me but here in the most troubled and difficult times of my life I can only see on set of footprints, why did you leave me at those times.
Allah SWt smiled and said: "Oh my precious creation, I promised I would never leave you and at those times you found hardest and most difficult...I picked you up and carried you"
yeah Mujahidah-whats up?

what's exactly is bugging u?
Asalamualaikum!

well...were can i start :?

In life ive mainly concentrated n hav put others b4 myself in everythin dat i do wether its at hme, wrk or mosque.

Unfortunately my family r un-islamic (includin rellies), lets say pure "pakis" which makes life even harder wen i try an act upon my rites in Islam. Everythin i do dey stp me, specially wen its sumthin Islamic.

They seem 2 stick by their culture soooooo much dat they ignore everythin i say even wen i giv reference's 4rm the holy Qur'an n hadith they just think they no it all.

So...basically thruout life ive stuk by my spiritual family in other words friends, but wen dey chuk it bk at ur face it doesent just hurt u it just kills u.

Dats wen i really feel like givin up coz all i do weneva i help oders is get more hurt 🙁

Like i alwayz say my house is wid Allah (swt) as i dnt belong 2 dis world.

"May Allah subhana wata Allah accept our prayers n help us all in such hard moments.AMEEN!"

Never give up,

Never loose hope,

There is no surrender.

Though your mind may sometimes say stop, your spirit should cry 'NEVER'!

Allah (swt) only gives you what you can handle never more.

me and sis have the same issue with our extended family

they aint too "cultural" but they're "too modern"

they have a go at us for stuff like "why u wearing asian clothes/ur due a haircut/why aint u joined the gym yet? why aint u travelled the world with ur mates yet"

my gran prefers it if we looks like "tarts"-no joke

my older sister has it harder cos she's more Islamically active and they more secular minded

so they stop her from doing many things that she wants to do

there's no answer to ur prob

just dont feel that ur alone-

these are just obstacles that should pass-as long as u dont give up fighting for what u think is right

ur a Mujahidah at the end of the day-a fighter

Now why is it that alot of women feel inclined to put 'xx' at the end of a message? What the hell does 'x' mean? Why do u feel like u need to use it?
