My plan for 2moro is - read Eid prayer in Mosque, come home, eat breakfast, clean up, spend 2hours getting ready, take pictures (for memories- not vanity reasons  ), open the door for numerous guests, feed them Asian sweet dishes, visit mate in afternoon - spend a couple of hours round her place, start meat delivery rounds from the Qurbani, be forced to eat sticky Asian sweets at every house I visit, phone dad and wish him Eid Mubarak (he's in Dubai at the moment) and have a family meal in the evening...

I'm visiting family over the weekend - in bham and manchester, so I'll prob do all of the above again then too....aswell as present distribution. I already have my sack ready with wrapped up prezzies in it - just like Santa Biggrin

Eid Mubaarak to all Muslims brothers and sisters.

I hope Allah accepts your sacrifice whatever you slaughtered for Him.

nothing any different from my normal daily routine.

I did wear a new sweatshirt to work though!

Don't just do something! Stand there.

an eid to forget

my son seriously ill, had some sort of allergic reaction, whole face swollen up

spent most evening , night and half of today in hospital....

 Oh dear, I pray he's much better now Ed.

My Eid started off a bit weird but alhamdulillah had a good 2 days.

Being the Eid of sacrifice and all that...I consumed and looked at SO much meat this Eid.

On Thursday, I helped divide and distribute the lamb we ordered (handled a lot of raw meat)...and then throughout the weekend when visiting family we were offered nothing but meat based dishes...Last night it got too much, a aunty of mine had roasted an ENTIRE, whole lamb in the oven (only the head was missing)....and my family of about 25 got through it all.

I'm becoming a veggy for a week,

I tried that, lasted only a few hours.

Lol. Chicken is not included...I'm looking to prepare a xmas dinner this week, with all the trimmings.

But lamb I can avoid for a few weeks.

Hold on. Weren't you worried a few days ago about how getting involved in Christmas is compromising your faith? And here you are looking to prepare Christmas dinner... at home...

Lol.

I love my roast dinner. Xmas is just an excuse to make it.

and eid ul adha turns out to be one i probably will never remember

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.
