In Hackney, shops were attacked, and there were skirmishes as youths threw objects including chairs and pieces of wood at officers in riot gear.
Cars and bins were set alight, and contents from the bins were used as missiles by the offenders.
At one point, several people broke into the back of a stationary lorry.

August 7th - Chapter 4: The Pre-Conditions of Du'a
Just like a person's salat will not be accepted if he performs the necessary pre-requisites,likewise a person's du'a will likely not be accepted until thes pre-requisites are met.(However it is possible that a du'a is accepted even if some conditions have not been met as the response of a du'a depends on the Will of Allah, and He responds to whom He pleases. Therefore it is also possible that that a muslim who fulfills all these conditions is not responded to, but the person who strives to do so, will have a greater chance of their du'a being answered)
Somalia's al-Shabab Islamist rebels have pulled out of all positions in the Somali capital of Mogadishu, government and rebel spokesmen say.
President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed declared the rebels defeated after they left overnight on trucks.
However, al-Shabab described the move as a "change of military tactics".
The conflict has hampered aid efforts in the famine-hit country, with the militia barring some aid agencies from central and southern areas it controls.

Hi, I was just reading through some ahadith in my Sahih Bukhari Hadith book app, or whatever it's called, and I came across this Hadith that seemed odd to me. Now because its just a phone app, it could be incorrect or wrongly input or something or I'm just being dense or whatever.
21.Vol 2, Book 25, No 653
Narrated Anas bin Malik: We were (in the funeral procession) of one of the daughters of the prophet and he was sitting by the side of the grave. I saw his eyes shedding tears. He said, "Is there anyone among you who did not have sexual relations with his wife last night?" Abu Talha replied in the affirmative. And so the prophet told him to get down in the grave. And so he got down in her grave.
Why do we have so many Ramadhan timetable across different mosques. And surely, the times shoudl be set in stone. Could we not simply use the Met Office to give us the times? Or would this be too easy for us??
What we are giving to our youth?and what media is promoting?i.e. cheap calls rate, free sms packages and daily night times for free or at lowest cost. Is this the demand for the time?what country needs and what nation should be?Being muslim please think.

Parents' fury as breastfeeding doll for young girls goes on sale
We've seen dolls that cry, dolls that drink and eat, even dolls that soil themselves.
But now one Spanish toy company has come up with a controversial way of making their products even more authentic - a breastfeeding doll.
But Berjuan has been slammed by parents who complain the bizarre toy promotes the sexualisation of young girls.
Bebe Gloton, meaning greedy baby, looks like any regular toy, but comes with a bra-like halter top featuring symbolic flowers for the child to wear
To play with the doll, it is latched on to the petals, where it emits a suckling sound, before it has to be burped to stop it from crying.
