most students are poor and in debt and its unrealistic to expect parents to fund our extravagent lifestyle.

You know ur poor when...

1-u use ur expensive purfume and moisteriser sparingly cos u know u wont be able to replace it when it finishes

2-u check behind the cushions for loose change for the bus

3-u get into the lamo Boots points system

4-u quietly eat what ur mum puts in front of u knowing that take away is not an option

5-u lose weight cos u cant afford to eat fatty take away food

6-u secretly buy clothes from cheap shops

You know it never amazes me what stuff mothers are made of. The kids will do anything and everything and still mothers remain there for them, still they love them - even when the child is rude and insolent directly to the mother.

There's a saying in urdu - Maa ki du'a, jannat ki hawa and I think its absolutely true.

Mothers look soo cute when they try and be angry. My mother and me are quite close - I think. Sometimes I joke with her and at the moment my big joke is that Im gonna marry again.

Hi iv'e just a few questions on my mind.

If i have a shower or a bath do i still need to perform wudhu inorder to read salaat or the Quraan.
When i mean shower i mean cleaning the whole part of oneself.
After a shower do i still have to perform wudhu in the tradition sense.
Or is having a shower the same as perrforming wudhu, as the same parts of the body cleaned in wudu are also cleansed when you have a shower?

Is it neccessary to wear a hat when reading salaat. When i was at uni i use to go to a predominaly arab masjid in Manachester. I noticed none of them had hats an whilst performing salaat and when i asked one of them he said it is not really neccessary to wear a hat whilst performing salaat, is this true?

Since I am working on a (yes another...) major reworking of the site, I thought it would be right to discuss the site, and find out what problems USERS face when they see it. You lot.

I need to know what works, what does not. WHat can be improved, what cannot.

I have some fair idea's, but they may be diferent, or non-essential in your lots minds.

1. The 'featured' is not really working. It does show a featured item, but it forces the viewer to ignore updates that are not 'featured'. Articles just added to the lists are IMO ignored. I myself have problems checking them out.

I know many long winded individuals…the type who have an opinion about everything, the ones who are the first to criticise yet almost never offer to do a better job themselves, they are passionate speakers and can be well…annoying.

They are “all talk and no action”…

We spend a significant amount of time on this forum debating issues, we have an opinion about most things and often get fired up in controversial debates….esp the ones relating to current affairs.

Does anyone ever get the feeling that they are “more talk and less action”…?
