For non muslims there the ahlulkitaab, those who have not encountered an unadulterated vision of Islam and those who reject it outright.
For ahlul kitaab - probably go to heaven, but there are probably some caveats and addendums.

for those who have not recieved the message - it depends on what they have done about it and what they believe.

For those who reject it outright probably not.[/list:u]
The word "probably" is used because:
1. I am not a scholar
2. The decision rests with Allah Almighty[/list:u]

Right but Ed's comment seemed pretty clear we are talking about people who are going to hell.

Just less hellish than normal.

What's up with that?

dunno. Reward for something.

If our version is similar to the jewish version, it is entirely possible as we believe Allah sent apostles before giving a simlar message.

The only sin that is unforgivable it shirk.

I thought every single sin was forgiven when a person converts to Islam :?

Muslims believe that according to one's sins, there are different punishments. also, (correct me if i'm wrong here people) just as there are 'levels' in Paradise according to how pious one was in this world, similarly there will be levels of Hell.

I NEVER WORE IT BECAUSE OF THE TALIBAN, MOTHER. I LIKE THE MODESTY AND PROTECTION IT AFFORDS ME FROM THE EYES OF MEN. Dust, X-Men

Ive heard of the different levels of heaven so i assume therefore its only logical to assume there will be different levels of hell.

I know there are different levels of heaven but I thought that in hell its the duration you stay there.

we invite people come to our house read naats and we serve food ask people to talk about the prophet pbuh etc

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane, by those who couldn't hear the music...

And we all know there is a special level of hell. A level reserved for child molestors and those who speak at the theatre.

Seriously, Not everyone who goes to hell will go for all eternity.

You will be punished for your sins, and their scale does vary.

When in pakistan we went to many milad gatherings. I really enjoyed them. My sis in law attentd a local ladies club and they arranged it so nicely. There were naats and we prayed droon sharif.

But then I attented one where I didn't like the way they had women praying in to microphones. Everything was being blasted out of the great big speakers and they were heard by most of the neighbours!!

In the 12th the whole town was lit up by lighting. It was a national holiday in pakistan. My kids loved it!!

live and let live!!!!!!!

Ya Ali Madad

This year Iran celebrated Milaad an Nabi by forgiving British marines, and also by annoucning that they have joined advanced nations that can enrich urainium.
This must be devestating news for Great Satan's President. He hoped to prevent Iran from learning how to make their own nuclear fuel. Now Iran has the knowldege to make either electric or nuclear bombs. Its their choice.
The fact is Satan does not like to see believers become self-sufficient and powerful.
He does not realise that God has already given them enough strength to defeat any superpower. Iraq is a recent example of this strength.
Whole world can see how Bush is begging Arab leaders, Europeans and even Iranians to come rescue the US marines from there Iraqi nightmare. This is how Allah disgraces enemies of Imam Ali.

Ayatollah rightly named America as "Great Satan".
