I think it is uncalled for to call MuhammadAliNasir caveman and neanderthal. That is derogatory terminology and seeing as he hasnt insulted any1 personally i think it is underhand to attribute such names to him. Respond to his posts with your own logic and own objections, but calling him such names in my view is not right.

sorry but the way he posts is irritating...shouting and repating himself with absurd comments

and then he says we should be shameful for not knowing our deen? oh and hes a pious man lol

sorry man....the guy's way of posting is jus too funny

even tho you have slightly Medieval views, at least you say it and back it up....not SHOUT and REPEAT SHOUT and REPEAT SHOUT CONSULT AN ALIM

its as tho if were all diseased :?

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

Kuri/19 i have the opposite problem to you any mention of the Prophet)pbuh) and related subjects i cant stop proper sobbing crying and everyone looks at me i feel stupid and have to leave the room.

i want to be somewhere between you and me so i can at least control myself.

i do not think i love my deen any more then the ladies who do not cry they just have a different way of expressing themselves

if you are even thinking this way then how can you say you are hard hearted. those who show emotion do not necessarily feel any more then those who do not show their emotion

some people when their heart is breaking they cry others do not but their heart is still breaking and they do feel it

well I think we should all be shameful because we dont know our deen.

the boy wanted to beat me up-just cos I never agreed with his caveman views

i have no respect for men who even TALK about raising their hands to a woman

such men are scums

so i think I'm entitled to call him every name under the sun

“No-one is furthest away from Allah (swt) than the hard-hearted” (Tirmidhi).

Islam is the religion of peace and mercy. The Dhikr of Allah (swt) softens ones heart.

If ones character does not improve as he/she delves deeper into Islam…and if one becomes hard hearted. They should seriously wonder whether or not they’re on the right track.

Wasalaam

Islam does make some people very hard/harsh

i want nothing to do with this certain type of Islam that makes people heartless

i was reading heavenly ornaments today and on 1 page it mentioned if 1 laughs alot it hardens the heart,
tobah man ...i laugh SO much that my sis even thinks im abit WEIRD,
maybe this is why i feel i've a hard heart, but its something i cant help

I laugh too much aswell when Im with my family, but not in public.

MashaALLAH Bahishti Zewar is an excellent book, someone said to me that if you learn Bahishti Zewar off by heart then you will know as much fiqh as an average alim. MashaALLAH Hazrat Thanwi was a great man.

I dont know about all. Some people on Revival Forum are very knowledgeable

But you are right, certainly some of "us" - such as your stupid self - should bury their heads in the sand.

no-one i'd say can call themselves very knowledgeable

maulana ashraf ali thanawi rahmatullahi alai used to say 'i am a taalibul ilm' during his whole life, he never considered himself as an alim. but ppl today have developed a sense of satisfaction regarding the level of ones ilm,
i remember studying a hadith stating 'two persons are never satisfied, one who is seeking knowledge, and the other who is seeking the world.

true. I think Hazrat Thanwi also said that when a person becomes an alim, then he realises that in actual fact he is a jahil.

very true words, he also said the students of the madaaris arent really concerned with true knowledge, but simply to complete a course and to gain a qualification..

again true

Also a lot of patience, but it does tend to get to my head for a bit and i get annoyed at lil things but then i just think of all the poor ppl suffering and that I will get fed within few hours whereas the poor ppl go on to live hungary, makes you grateful for what Allah (swt) has given to you.
