http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=le_ySMrOkFU
http://www.wakeupproject.com/Index.aspwanted to know peoples views on the things discussed.. maybe can be a new thread
i recently came across "The Arrivals" and have watched bits of some parts. i havnt watched a full part but i know what they are about. tbh to me it sounded really silly although some stuff may be true in it other things are just ridiculous like when the guy predicts when Imam Mahdi is coming (i havnt watched this bit but was told this) it may even make u paranoid about everything around you. like the Royal Family, World Leaders, Pop Stars being devil worshippers. and all the tall skyscrapers are for the Dajjal. <

Re: "The Arrivals"
So you don't believe there is a war against God and good?
Why is it then that so much happening now that is similar to the time of the jahiliyyah? We are literally indoctrinated to see these things EVERYDAY. We grow up with it, then decide to act on it because it is the 'norm' that has become accepted in society.
Some times I think that we don't even have our own minds because we have been seeing this go on for so long we don't know how to free ourselves from it. (The Arrivals gives the film example of The Matrix)
Nine Hundred and Ninety-Nine out of every Thousand will go to Hell because of our deviation - is that not enough to at least consider these 'conspiracies'?
Bukhari :: Book 6 :: Volume 60 :: Hadith 265
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
The Prophet said, "On the day of Resurrection Allah will say, 'O Adam!' Adam will reply, 'Labbaik our Lord, and Sa'daik ' Then there will be a loud call (saying), Allah orders you to take from among your offspring a mission for the (Hell) Fire.' Adam will say, 'O Lord! Who are the mission for the (Hell) Fire?' Allah will say, 'Out of each thousand, take out 999.' At that time every pregnant female shall drop her load (have a miscarriage) and a child will have grey hair. And you shall see mankind as in a drunken state, yet not drunk, but severe will be the torment of Allah." (22.2) (When the Prophet mentioned this), the people were so distressed (and afraid) that their faces got changed (in color) whereupon the Prophet said, "From Gog and Magog nine-hundred ninety-nine will be taken out and one from you. You Muslims (compared to the large number of other people) will be like a black hair on the side of a white ox, or a white hair on the side of a black ox, and I hope that you will be one-fourth of the people of Paradise." On that, we said, "Allahu-Akbar!" Then he said, "I hope that you will be) one-third of the people of Paradise." We again said, "Allahu-Akbar!" Then he said, "(I hope that you will be) one-half of the people of Paradise." So we said, Allahu Akbar."

Re: "The Arrivals"
The conspiracy offered by "The Arrivals" IMO is islamically unsound.
It also in a way condemns people for their predecessors - that they are eveil because their predecessors were evil and because of that their offspring will also be evil.
That does not fit into my thinking about Islam.
as for 999 out of a thousand, that hadith clarifies that that will be from the Gog and Magog, while for others, 1 in 1000.
Just because people sin, just because there is attraction in it it does not mean there is a grand conspiracy towards it.
People comit zina not because of some elite wanting to take over the world, but because they want to, because they find it pleasureable.
Another issue with following the conspiracy is the hopelessness of it when we know tht God is teh greatest planners.
In the case that the conspiracy is true, the question arises if knowing about it helps anyone. The answer here is no. but if it is not true, it surely does harm people.
All IMO.

Re: "The Arrivals"
I was just reading this link about the Arrivals http://myummah.co.za/site/2010/02/18/a-review-on-the-arrivals-series/ and from there amongst other things it made the following points:
Not only according to this review is The Arrivals a conspiracy, it is a shia conspiracy!
