why do people buy estate cars?

dark^knightI just don't understand it. They look ugly and are so difficult to park. So why do I see so many estates on the road?

Some people dont care about how they look. They just want a car that gets them from A to B.

Golfers with their big golf bags and people who transfer furniture n things of the sort.
