Since Tuesday 11th September the blame for the Terrorist attacks in America has been placed on Islam and the Muslims. Muslims have been accused of being terrorist, violent and fanatics.

Islam has been portrayed as a religion that supports and promotes terrorism. As a result Muslim individuals, Mosques and Islamic centres have been attacked, abused and humiliated throughout the World.

So, have America and its allies, the media and the ordinary folk of the western world declared a war against terrorism or is it against the Muslims of the world and the faith of 1.2 billion followers worldwide?

One should ponder seriously over the following crucial points:

"…Islam is out of date. It's 1400 years old, man…. And it's out of touch for today's society…" That's right… and I'm the Queens mum (…really…), Posh Spice can sing and Michael Barrymore is straight!

Listen mate, Islam is for all times and is the only faith, ideology and system, which deals with each and every aspect of life. Islam gives us a clear viewpoint on modern issues in the 21st century from abortion to homosexuality, organ transplantation to human cloning, and euthanasia to contraception. In this issue we will deal with abortion, homosexuality and promiscuity.

It was revealed 14 centuries ago but mentions facts only recently discovered or proven by scientists.

Prince Charles will visit a mosque this Friday. The visit is to reach out to the British Muslims at the time when the Muslim community is facing a backlash in the wake of the terrorist attacks in New York. The Prince of Wales will visit Suleymaniye Mosque on Kingsland Road in East London at 4.30 pm on Friday.

Last week Lib Deb Leader Charles Kennedy and SNP Leader John Sweeney visited mosques in support of the Muslim community.

THE evidence linking Osama bin Laden to his alleged crimes is, like the man, at once everywhere and nowhere.

Beyond George W. Bush's conviction supported outside the US most prominently by British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who said "it's fairly clear where the evidence is tending" hard facts have been hard to come by.

Investigators have been pursuing two separate lines: tracing the hijackers back to bin Laden and his al-Qa'ida organisation, and trying to show the money to fund the operation came from that source.

We are witnessing this weekend one of the most epic events since the Second World War, certainly since Vietnam. I am not talking about the ruins of the World Trade Centre in New York and the grotesque physical scenes which we watched on 11 September, an atrocity which I described last week as a crime against humanity (of which more later).

No, I am referring to the extraordinary, almost unbelievable preparations now under way for the most powerful nation ever to have existed on God's Earth to bomb the most devastated, ravaged, starvation-haunted and tragic country in the world.

Muslim Ulema, or religious scholars, throughout Palestine have issued an edict prohibiting Muslim states from joining the American-led crusade against Afghanistan or any other Muslim countries.

A fatwa or religious ruling issued Wednesday by the League of Palestinian Ulema, which represents over 500 religious scholars and academics in Palestine, stated that "it is amply clear in light of the Holy Quran and the traditions of our Holy Prophet (pbuh) that it is inadmissible for Muslims to enter into alliance with non-Muslims against fellow Muslims."

The edict cited evidence from the Qura'an and Sunna (traditions of the Prophet) to that effect.

Here is a translation of the Pashtu-language speech by the leader of Afghanistan Islamic Taliban government, Mullah Mohammed Omar, that was read to the hundreds of clerics meeting in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Wednesday. It was obtained by the Afghan Islamic Press, a Pakistan-based Afghan news agency with close ties to the Taliban.
