Mawlid Mubarak (Rabbi-ul Awwal 1436)

I think it is 8th of Rabbi ul Awwal tonight, tomorrow being the 9th.

While it is popular that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) was born on the morning of the 12th, this does not have to be the date to celebrate the greatest mercy bestowed upon us. The date isnt important and Mawlid celebrations can and do take place all year around.

For those that do not take part in formal celebrations and even those that do, the link to the time of the year can be used as a reminder and a chance to learn more about Islam, the life and ways of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) and use this as an excuse to try and improve our connection with God, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) and Islam.

It is said that on the date of birth of the Prophet (saw), the idols occupying at that time fell and even satan's throne was tilted.

As Muslims whether we celebrate the Mawlid  as an event of not, the mawlid was a great mercy that directly effects us as without the prophet (saw), we would not have been granted the favour of faith and Islam, one of the greatest favours bestowed upon each and everyone of us.

This is a time to rejoice.

I plan to post videos and other content in comments, stuff that I find pleasing and would appreciate it if others also posted content that they found pleasing.

(anyone wanting a debate, please create a new topic in the forums and please do not pollute this blog).

Anyway, to start, a video from this year:
