Before you boycott Israel!

I think that while unfomfortable and holding many "home truths" in that video, it is still only a pro Israel piece of disinformation and propaganda ignoring many of the issues and pretending that those that boycott do it for wrong/stupid reasons.

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

Yup another piece of propaganda... I would love to see someone remind them that the lights on their streets, the algorithms they make their computers with and much of the medical info they based their so-called inventions on were actually discovered by Muslims. See for more info on that. I would also like to remind those who made that video that how much humanitarian aid they provide is really insignificant given that they cause much of the crisis and inhumane situations in the first place!
And if boycotting is illegal, what do they call the war crimes Israel keeps committing in Lebanon and Palestine, their use of illegal phosphorus in their weapons, their targeting of civilians and their blatant breaking of numerous UN resolutions against them....

erm... how is any of that relevant to this discussion?

Besides Muslims need to move on from how great their predecessors were like a thousand years go. We will be judged on our actions, not on those of the people before us.

i think it's propaganda, done by pro israelis. The entire tone is just ridiculing and the last comment says it all go kill yourself?

As for Israelies inventing everything in the world it seems what a load of nonsense. Yes Jews invent some things, but so do ppl from other backgrounds. The truth is many of the things we rely on in west is produced in Israel to benefit their economy, so the products are not necessarily all invented by them, as this vid wrongly implies.

I think it does have a negative effect on Israeli economy if Muslims boycott in mass, products that they are clearly able to boycott, i/e foods, companies, brand names where there are alternatives.

I disagree. The point of the video was not that you should boycott fully. It was to suggest that Israel is not (all) evil and that many great things come out of it.

Boycotting products etc that you consider unethical is a good thing and those that do such things I have a degree of respect for (which varies by the amount of research done, the validity of the problem and personaly opinion on the boycott/individuals).

Boycotting also means forgeting respect for those in the circle and ultimately Despising a fraction of population. Is that acceptable?

Depends on the fraction and why you despise them. If its because of their race, ethnicity, then that is bad.

But if you despise the small fraction of people who have committed serious crimes, not as bad.

Boycotting Israel is not the same as despising Jewish people, jsut that you do not want your money to directly or indirectly go through channels that may be fiunding actions by the Israeli state and its actions. Its about washing your own hands of blood.

acring?

As for the question, this video is not "by Israel" but either by a citizen or a sympathiser who wants the world to see the good that it does instead of tis tarnished reputation through other less savoury affairs.
