The Revival

Your Voice Matters!

Is it halaal? Is it haraam? No, it's Superman!

Ya'qub —

Or should that Superimam?

Anyway, all this is abut a new 'Muslim Comic', released in America called 'The 99', with each superhero having powers inspired by the 99 Names of Allah (swt), by Naif al-Mutawa.

What do you think? (click the image to see a full gallery of them)

I wonder what "superpower" the characters inspired by the names of mercy/forgiveness will have.

"You killed my father. You killed my mother. You killed my wife and my children. It's ok, I forgive you." THE END

A word of note - note sure if this is the same series or a different one, but you caqn download a free copy of The99 - Origins by going here.

I would assume the one announced now is a new version of it that has been Americafied and not the same one I linked to?

SeraphimThis isnt actually a new comic.

Its been out for some time in the middle east.

True. What is new though is the collaboration with the "Justice League of America"/whatever Comics.

@ Seraphim - do you think they felt the competition you were creating was a little too hot for them to handle alone?

and when do we get the next chapter?
