Russia Continues to Suffer Losses
The unit of commander Yarmook attacked an UZAK vehicle which was transporting a number of OMON soldiers in Kertshloi. The Mujahideen burnt the vehicle down, killing seven soldiers.
Meanwhile the unit of commander Abu-Thar detonated an UZAK vehicle in Grozny, killing an undetermined number of Russian soldiers. Another group from the same unit also detonated an UZAK in the area of Aftri, killing an undetermined number of soldiers.
Two Mujahideen Commanders Martyred in Grozny Battle
Two Commanders belonging to the unit of Commander Ramadan Ahmadov, together with another Mujahid, earned martyrdom during the ongoing battles in Grozny. The commanders, Noor-Uddin and Aslam Bek were two of the best commanders, and managed to remain in Grozny, inflicting heavy losses on the Russian forces day after day. Both were members of the Mujahideen Military Command Council. Commander Noor-Uddin was martyred as a result of battle wounds to his abdomen, whilst the details of Commander Aslam Bek's martyrdom are not yet known.
The commanders had performed jihad in its truest form, suffering great tribulations on their path to martyrdom. We ask Allah to Accept them as martyrs and to reward them with entry into the highest levels of paradise. We do not knowingly raise anyone above the level which Allah Most High has assigned to them. After hearing news of the martyrdom, the Mujahideen units in Grozny said they continue to remain very strong in the capital, and vowed to continue their promise to eliminate the Russians forces. Two of the strongest Mujahideen have taken up the posts of the fallen commanders.
Russia Deploys 20,000 OMON Units to Chechnya
The Russian government has been preparing for the withdrawal of its army from Chechnya, by deploying about 20,000 OMON units to perform a number of tasks, amongst them:
- Protecting the back lines of the soldiers as they withdraw.
- Preparing and operating additional makeshift prisons and concentration camps for the civilians.
- Replacing the army soldiers at checkpoints and bases and spreading the forces throughout the towns and villages especially in Argun, Shali, and Kertshloi.
- Planning and attempting to execute Mujahideen commanders.
- Spreading havoc and involving innocent civilians in the war.
In response to this move, the Mujahideen Military Command Council issued a mandate to all regional commanders to target OMON commanders, officers, and units presently positioned in the villages and towns.
In the past, OMON units in civilian areas were not targeted, so that the lives of innocent civilians could be saved. However the recent move of the Russians, has left the MMCC with no other viable option.
Russia Searches for Middlemen to Facilitate Withdrawal
The Russian media recently reported that a number of connections exist with the Chechen government, which can facilitate negotiations regarding ending the war and withdrawing troops from Chechnya. The Russian Military General, Kazanov, verified these reports. The would be facilitators are an ex-Russian monitory minister named Nimsov, the president of Ingushetia and an ex-Chechen minister. The Russians - determined to portray themselves as being 'peaceful' - seem eager to begin these negotiations before the European Union commences its next round of meetings.
Traitor Mufti Covers for the Russian Forces
The traitor, Mufti, Ahmed Kadirov announced that the Russian forces would respect the Muslim Eid in Chechnya, by not conducting any searches on the day. However the Russians made a fool of Kadirov, attacking a number of villages on the day of Eid, and establishing additional check points. They also arrested fifteen men and murdered another in cold blood.
Mujahideen in Grozny Confront the Russians
The Mujahideen forces in Grozny waged a series of attacks on bases, centres, and blockposts belonging to Russian Special Forces (Desant) in Grozny. Each attack lasted for about an hour. By Allah's Grace, the damages suffered by the Russians were severe, with many Desant soldiers falling dead or wounded. The Russian forces have been careful to ensure that news of these attacks does not leak out of the capital.
This is the latest in a series of Mujahideen attacks, which are a response to the Russian explosions near the Alkhan-Yurt mosque. A Mujahideen unit in the south of Grozny, also attacked a Russian convoy, destroying two armoured vehicles, and killing six Russians. The Mujahideen command have promised to further escalate their operations during the last ten days of Ramadan.
Escalations in Kershloi and Shatoi
The Mujahideen unit led by Field Commander Abu-Thar kept to the above promise when they executed a major attack on a Russian reconnaissance unit in the village of Khiti-Khtor, in Kershloi. By Allah's Grace, 14 Russians were killed and 20 wounded in the attack, and the others fled, leaving behind many weapons for the Mujahideen. Two Mujahideen were martyred during the battle, and another six wounded. We ask Allah to enter the martyrs into the highest level of paradise, and to grant the wounded a quick and full recovery.
The Mujahideen executed another major attack on a Russian convoy near the village of Zona, in Shatoi, destroying an armoured vehicle, and four transport trucks, and killing ten Russians. Several more Russians were wounded.
Other Operations
The unit of Field Commander Yaqub joined a number of smaller units in executing several attacks throughout Chechnya. The Mujahideen destroyed three armoured vehicles, a transport truck, a BTR and an UZAK in Aftri and Star-Atki, killing an undetermined number of Russian soldiers.
The Mujahideen in Argun used landmines to destroy two transport vehicles and two armoured vehicles, whilst in Gudermes, the Mujahideen destroyed a BMP and an UZAK, also through the use of landmines.
Meanwhile the unit of Field Commander Ramadan executed two hypocrites in Urus-Martan.
Shirvani Basayev Responds to Russia
The Russian media recently published false reports that Shirvani, the brother of Ameer Shamil Basayev, was killed in battle. The Mujahideen have denied these reports. When Shirvani Basayev was informed of these false reports, he laughed, saying, "I wish it was true. Dying for the sake of Allah is my ultimate goal, and the goal of all the Mujahideen here."
Kremlin Deploys Troops to Towns Frequented by Mujahideen
The Kremlin recently announced that more large-scale attacks will be targeted at Mujahideen-concentrated areas. They also announced that the new operations will be executed by units which have been especially trained in guerrilla warfare. These units are positioned in towns and villages which are frequented by the Mujahideen, the Kremlin says.
The Mujahideen have acknowledged that in recent days, a large number of Russian troops have been deployed to the mountains, but these troops have yet to move a finger. In fact most of them have decided to negotiate their withdrawal with the Mujahideen, claiming that they have no desire to fight, and were deployed against their will.
The Mujahideen commanders have described the Kremlin's latest step as just another Russian "suicide" since, it will insha-Allah blow up in their faces and humiliate them further.
Human Rights Don't Exist in Chechnya
There has not been a single reaction from any organization, in response to Putin's recent mandate, which clearly and vigorously violates all human rights. Russian forces have shown that they are determined to obey the mandate. Four civilian corpses bearing clear signs of torture were found in Kermn-Shok. An OMON unit had earlier arrested the four civilians.
The Russian media has also announced that its units performed house-to-house searches in the village of Akshtoi in Vedeno, and killed six civilians in another town. Concentration camps are full of women, children and the elderly, who were arrested by the Russians for 'assisting the Mujahideen.'
