If Prophet's are alive, explain this please & why it's not insulting.
UPDATE: I have an answer. We believe he's alive in his grave, and at the time the words were spoken, he wasn't buried. I know for a fact by asking a Shaykh and Mufti that the timing is true [:
Still be glad to hear other people's point of view-as long as it ain't rude/disrespectful.
In a Sahih Hadith in Bukhari, it is narrated:
"Abu Bakr narrated 'Whomsoever worshipped Muhammad, let it be known, Muhammad is dead, and whomsoever worshipped ALLAH, ALLAH is the all-living and alive".
This hadith was narrated by Abu Bakr after the demise of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and Umar (peace upon him) threatened to cut off the heads of anyone who said Muhammad is dead. Abu Bakr then spoke these words aloud in front of all Sihaabah.
We're doing this in Aqeedah lessons at Madrassa. If Abu Bakr said in that hadith, Muhammad is dead, we do not consider it an insult, but if someone else who is not from Ihl-e-Sunnah Wal Jamaah says it, we become offended. Why is this?
We have to find out for homework, and so far, with every suggestion I've come up with, my principal has said it is incorrect. HELP!
And please note; My Principal said the answer is really simple, and if possible, please ensure that it's not related to the worshipped part of the sentence.
Any Shaykh's available who know the answer? Or anyone at all? Please reply in comments.
The timing of the hadith would help. Because if it was said before the burial, we believed he's alive in his grave, right?
Jazakallah,
Sara M
PS: If my Principal actually reads this, because he works for the magazine...then I'm just using my initiative.
My CV
Types of CVs saved on my desktop:
The first is a CV with a list of P/T work (and now F/T) - mainly retail - and includes my main e-mail address.
The second is a Education based one - where i include all the experience within schools and with children -and includes my main e-mail address.
Then i have a copy of both of these under a different e-mail address.
Anyway the reason i'm here is:
On the education CV - since i have a gap between the experiences - do i fill these up with retail jobs? and if so I'm currently employed under two sectors - retail and educational - do i put down the retail as well?
I don't usually have a problem with my CVs but it seems all too fiddly now, sigh.

Euthanasia & Life Support Machines
So we had an RE session on friday & this was what we were discussing.
Euthanasia is a form of suicide so its haraam? yes?
Life Support Machines,. without which many people would probs be dead, is prolonging somones life using them right islamically? because we beleive that Allah gives & takes life when he wants, so using this machine is that right or wrong? right in the sense that we were given the mind to think & knowledge ect so if we can make this machine then that is through the ability that Allah gave us, & if he wanted to take us then he could do that whilst bieng on the support machine. Or wrong in the fact that we're prolonging a life that should be over?I sound so cold hearted but i', not beleive me. I think i just figured that out for myself,. but well what are the rulings?
When a doctor switches off a life support machine are they commiting a sin eventhough they predict that there is no way of the person ever living without it?
just yeah..talk about it.. please.

Palestine is Back !!
2010
PALESTINE IS BACK !!
Israel is almost dead.
This report has made Israel very angry.
America is also pissed.
AFP: Brazil recognizes Palestinian state on 1967 borders
AFP
December 9, 2010Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay recognize Palestinian state
Argentina and Uruguay said Monday they were joining Brazil in recognizing an independent Palestinian state, earning praise from Palestinian officials.
Have you noticed how BBC, SKY, CNN and other kafir media has
hidden this major news from the public for past week.

But Israeli press did report it. well, they would, their nation's arse is on the line.

Israel, US slam Argentina, Brazil for recognizing Palestinian state
These are scary news. These are not small countries.
Jews should start packing up. Muslims are coming to take their land back.
It seems that the world is now sick of Israel.
It was a bad move to illegitimatly create this evil state on Muslims land.
After looking at Iran's example, some other important
countries are now also openly siding with Palestinians.
Iran has never bowed to intimidation from Israel and its ally, USA.
Ayatollahs of Iran defied West ever since the world changing Islamic Revolution of 1979.
Iran's Revolution has started Israel's destruction.
President Ahmadinejad said countdown to Israel's disappearence has now begun.
BYE BYE ISRAEL.

What is honor? And what is Shame?
As the title suggests, what do you consider honor to be?
Is there an Islamic definition of honor?
And what do you consider shame to be??

The Hajji returns - The battle continues...
Ok, so now I am back home from haj. Had many visitors all looking upto me like I underwent an overnight transformation to sainthood, requests for duas and everything.
As far as I am concerned the battle has only begun, the battle cries are louder than ever, the task is still very daunting and the age old enemy has launched a renewed attack. Yes, the old enemy shaitaan. He never stops, he keeps on going, he does not care if you are young, old, rich, poor, man, women, pretty, ugly, or even a hajji. As long as you live you are fair game.
This is not a task for the faint hearted, yet every believer has got to undertake it. The path of siratul mustakeem, it is laden with difficulties and hardship. The pleasure of the world right before your eyes compared to the promise of aakhirah you have never seen. The odds are against you, the enemy is cunning, the path is treacherous and people succumb everywhere you look.
What does this mean for every believer, hajji or not, THE BATTLE CONTINUES...

The civil war among Muslims in Britain
The previous government’s controversial programme for preventing violent extremism is currently being reviewed by the Home Office. How did it happen that programmes which were introduced with the aim of promoting “community cohesion” and preventing the influence of violent extremists ended up achieving the opposite of what they set out to achieve? Since the introduction of such programmes British Muslim communities have been engaged in what is effectively a ‘civil war’ which has left young Muslims (the intended beneficiaries of the programmes) further marginalised and more vulnerable to extremist ideas.
