One this day...
A year ago I passed my driving test.
A year ago I passed my driving test.
Originally i had planned to go to a friends wedding, but my plans for the day, ended up being a fail.
Instead we decided to go to Twycross Zoo! The trip itself was an amazing day out as a family, and i was surprised by the amount of people who visit the zoo even when it's not extremely sunny. It was a little rainy, but when your enjoying yourself, you don't really take much notice of it. So the most obvious thing to do when you visit a zoo, is to look around at the animals. I saw many, from the lazy tortoises to the sick-looking camels, and the brightly coloued flamingo's to the very playful monkeys.
So the whole country is hyped up about the Queens Diamond Jubilee, yet some of us are simply sitting at home, doing absolutely nothing (like me!) Have you done anything patriotic towards the country you live in? Have you held a street celebration party with family and friends? Have you let a flag fly out your window with the permission of your mum? Have you joined a parade and sang the national anthem? Have you done anything at all? Theres even a mosque in Manchester that was covered in decorative lighting and flags, with a large banner congratulating the Queen! They're also giving a tour of the mosque, can you believe that? I just can't! Well if there's anything at all that you did, feel free to share it here!

What is up with that?
im carp at writing blogs. but i was listening to an audio and it mentionned something
this life is not abt entertainment/enjoyment. that's wat the next life is abt. this life is abt getting to the next life. but that doesnt mean you cant enjoy yourself while trying to get there.
everything is abt getting there. some of it might be enjoyable. some of it might not. i liked that idea.
What to do on a lovely sunny day like today? I thought aloud.
“Oh, I know. Let’s have a water fight.” Suggested my 9 year old son.
“You did say we’ll have a water fight on the weekend” added my 6 year old daughter.
So – they’re acting their age, maybe I should act mine. “OK I said. You guys get the water guns and I’ll hook up the hose pipe.”
“Oi, that’s cheating.” Pointed out my wife.
“I’m not going to hose the kids down, I thought since we’ll be playing with water, I’d might as well get the cars cleaned at the same time”
“Hmmm… Good idea” Agreed my wife.
Just came across this. It gives grants of £3000 to students going to uni in their first year. Of course there's a criteria attached - and some of it is vague - like "Strong academic results in GCSE and A Levels or equivalent;" but anyway still pretty awesome.
