The dead could occupy the same world as the living

Medieval records evoke the time when the dead were always with us.
The Abbot of the Monastery of Burton-on-Trent recorded an uncanny series of events that occurred around 1090.
"There were two villagers living in Stapenhill, who ran away to a neighboring village. The very next day at the third hour , they were suddenly struck down dead.
Soon after their corpses were buried, word came of two alien beings roaming the woods. Now they appeared in the shape of men carrying wooden coffins on their shoulders. Now in the likeness of bears or dogs."

The villagers were in were in mortal terror of the two phantom dead men who roamed the countryside at night.
The Bishop authorized the villagers to dig up the dead bodies.

BUSY

SATAN'S MEETING:
(Read even if you're busy)
Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.
In his opening address he said,
"We can't keep Muslims from going to Mosque."
"We can't keep them from reading their Quran and knowing the truth.."
"We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their Allah and his messenger Muhammad."
"Once they gain that connection with Allah, our power over them is broken."
"So let them go to their Mosques; let them have their covered dish dinners, BUT steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a relationship with Allah and his messenger Muhammad."

"This is what I want you to do," said the devil:
"Distract them from gaining hold of their Allah and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!"

Protest or politics?

Another mosque and this time it's being built in a mainly non-Muslim area. So as expected, there is a protest planned against this new mosque being built. I wonder how the Muslim community will react. No doubt most of us will then want to organise a reactionary protest. But isn't that the problem? For far too long, we the Muslim community, are reactive instead of proactive. Instead of protesting, why not write to your local MP and ask them what they will do to support the new mosque. Not all MP's are anti-Muslim and if you vote, you can vote in the right one who will support what you and your community stand for. Majority of us did the same thing when the Gaza conflict was going on, we protested, while the Isreali lobby engaged in politics and got results.

Story Time- Summer of 1994

For the sake of argument we shall assume the following tale is true. And by that i mean make up your own mind. But let me warn you, this story is not for the faint of heart, because when you stare into the Abyss, the darkness there stares right back at you.

They say that man has inside of him the potential to be a force for good and for evil. The eternal struggle of a person to control his naffs is ever on going. They say that the devil is likely to tempt us at this time, during our weakest of moments. I call this tale:

'THE SUMMER 1994'

Paradise

In the season where cherry blossoms bloom and scatter across the university campus, I noticed just how pretty trees and plants were in general. I only become introspective during Ramadan, so it was strange to notice the beautiful colours. After all, my eyes were tired of poring over textbooks and diagrams and they were pleased to see such a delightful sight.

Allah (swt) has certainly made this world beautiful. And I hadn’t realised I had said this out loud until my friend replied:

“Then imagine, how will it be like in paradise?”

--

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "There is a tree in Paradise (which is so big and huge that) if a rider travels in its shade for one hundred years, he would not be able to cross it." (Hadith, Sahih Bukhari 4:474)
