My name is Sha'baan :)
My name is Sha'baan/ I am advising you that my neighbour Ramdan will be visiting you soon with his wife Saum and 2 kids Suhur and Iftar. They'll be accompanied by 3 grandchildren: Rahma, Baraka and Tawba. They will leave after 30 days by Eid airlines. Treasure them and you'll be blessed.
Ramadan Kareem all
Xperia X10 and Android 2.3
I have updated the software version on my phone to Android 2.3.3 - I was impatient and followed the guide over here which allowed me to get the update faster.
I have to say the new animation when the screen turns off is pretty nifty - its like those old CRT TV's when they would turn off.
I also now have the ability to use the latest apps such as iplayer and the flash plugin for the web browser.
So far so good.
Just a warning for those who wish to follow my path - the backup app with the phone when using android 2.1 does not exist when using 2.3, so make sure you use a separate one that will back up your settings.
do i have to...
Do i have to live in this world where the true "service" sector is no longer? where everything is about money, about gaining money, no matter if it is at the expense of others?
if there nothing i can do to change this?
Do i have to live in this world where they make cars to break down in a few years, where they create models with defects on purpose so you buy the new one? where nothing is done for the sake of it.
Do i have to live in a world where the chasm between "charity" and the rest of the world gets wider and wider.
where charity becomes more and more a standing alone building, that people visit once in a while or not at all if they chose not to.
do i have to live in a world where you get suspicious if someone offers you a ride on a pouring down day?
RIP- you will be missed...
she will be missed, greatly, she can never be replaced and she holds a special place in my heart. As soon as i saw her, i knew it was going to be good. She's given me a few heart attack to be honest, but it wasnt really her fault... she wasnt to blame if she was "faked" a few times...
Imindenial. I cannot believe she is gone, I'm sure she'll come back. and in my heart I will never consider her an undead.
ok, seriously guy, do you see Lilly EVER speaking about death?! as in..EVEEER! I dont.
Can anybody guess what I'm talking about?
The Forbidden Gaze (part 1)
Salaam Alaikum my dear sisters and brothers in ISLAM,
Unless we're from an isolated island where there's been no civilization and people are simple-minded....we've all fallen prey to this disastrous deed. At some point we've all given that "second glance" - that EVIL second glance. Be it someone on the television or someone in the papers or someone walking down the road - we all have at some point (intentionally or not) taken a second look at someone. And by that I don't mean looking at someone because you like their shoes or the colour of their hair.....i mean the forbidden look - the look of lust. So i guess it's obvious by now it means gazing at the opposite gender.
Fabricated Hadith about Sha'ban
Ireceived this text with his hadith and it didnt have a reference. and Alhamdoulillah i just fell on an article saying this hadith is actually fabricated.
What is the opinion of Hadith scholars on the following Athar (narration from the Companions): “Rajab is the Month of Allah, Sha‘ban is my month and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah (nation based on one creed)”? And is this a Hadith Sahih (authentic Hadith): “O Allah! To You do I complain of my weakness, my helplessness, and disregard of people towards me...”?
