Establishing the Khilafah
Definition of Khilafa and Khalifa
ISLAM&POLITICS: Lecture by Dr. Qadri
This is a subject highly interesting and significant in various aspects. Particularly in perspective of that misunderstanding which exists in the minds of our Western brothers. Those who have not studied Islam through its original sources or have seen it through some wrong demonstrations.
The word Islam is derived from the word "Salama", which means Peace, Safety, Security and Submission. When we look at some of the fundamental aspects of the Islamic culture, we can easily understand that the nature of Islam is peace.

A Case for Muslim Political Participation
by Dr. M. Amir Ali, Ph.D.
Introduction
Recently, a thirteen-year-old Muslim girl sent me an e-mail message stating that one of her Muslim friends in school had told her that casting a vote in American elections was haram and a sin.
Almost ten years ago, two Pakistani young men brought one young American, an 18-year-old man, who was interested in Islam. I found him to be an Atheist although he came from a Catholic family.
After three months of speaking with him, he accepted Islam and took Shahadah. He remained my student for almost a year until he fell into the hands of Hizb At-Tahrir. He then became very argumentative and, therefore, I sent him back to Hizb At-Tahrir for further learning.
The Private Life of The Holy Prophet (saw)
A Model of Perfection from Islamic Philosophy of Human Life byProf. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
The Qur'ân and Ahâdîth in various places state that the Book and the Messenger sallallâhu `alayhi wa sallam are the best guidance for humankind. This model of perfection now has to be sought for. We find that the model of perfection is best illustrated through the personal and private life of the Holy Prophet:
Muhammad (PBUH)In The Bible
"Those who follow the Apostle, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own Scriptures, in the Torah and the Gospel " (Quran 7:157; Trans.: Yusuf Ali)
Reference to the Bible
Is it justifiable for Muslims to quote the Bible or quote from it?
There appears to be two common and extreme misconceptions about the Muslims' attitudes towards the Bible:
a) that Muslims base their faith in full or in part on the Bible;
b) that Muslims reject the Bible in toto and accept no single word of it.
Understanding The Four Madhabs
the problem with anti-madhhabism
Abdal-Hakim Murad
The ummah's greatest achievement over the past millennium has undoubtedly been its internal intellectual cohesion. From the fifth century of the Hijra almost to the present day, and despite the outward drama of the clash of dynasties, the Sunni Muslims have maintained an almost unfailing attitude of religious respect and brotherhood among themselves. It is a striking fact that virtually no religious wars, riots or persecutions divided them during this extended period, so difficult in other ways.
Knowledge Of The Unseen
(ILM-UL-GHAYB)
Ghaib means the hidden, the unseen. And Ilm-e-ghaib is called the knowledge of invisible things that cannot be known by human senses and can't be understood without arguments.
The knowledge of the unseen is of two types 1- Personal 2- Granted
Personal knowledge of the unseen is specific to Allah Almighty as described in the holy Quran at many occasions:
1- 'say you , I do not say to you, I posses the treasures of Allah and nor I say I know the unseen my self.'
(para 7,surah 6, verse 50)
2- 'And if I would have known unseen my self , then I would have granted ample good '
(para 9, surah 7, verse 188)
Aspects of the Salaat with evidences used by the Hanafi Madhab
INTRODUCTON
Very often the following question is posed to many people: "Do you follow the Deen of Imaam Abu Hanifa (R.A.) or the Deen of Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)?" "Obviously the Deen of Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)," comes the instant reply. The second question is then posed: "Why then do you call yourself a Hanafi?" The person not well versed is perplexed by this question. Doubts are then created in his mind. He soon starts gradually drifting towards the abandoning of taqleed i.e. following one of the four illustrious Imaams viz. Imaam Abu Hanifa (R.A.), Imaam Shafi'i (R.A.), Imaam Malik (R.A.) and Imaam Ahmad bin Hanbal (R.A.).
Questions On Tawassul
Is it true, as some people say, that tawassul or "seeking means" through the Prophet and the awliya', such as seeking their intercession, is not necessary nor a priority in Islam, because Allah says that He is near and answers whoever calls Him directly?
What about the statement in al-Wala' wal-Bara' According to the `Aqeedah of the Salaf that among the "ten actions that negate Islam" is "relying on an intermediary between oneself and Allah when seeking intercession"?
What about Albani's claims that tawassul is not through the person of the Prophet after his time, but through his du`a and only in his lifetime?
