If the father did not get angry, why did he write "...without getting angry..."?

Answer me that? Why was anger on his mind when recalling the "joyous" events of him spending some times with his son in the park? eh? eh?

Anyway, isn't the father to blame for always spoiling his kid? If he'd been a bit tougher on him, maybe he wouldn't have grown up to be so irritable...
