Post only good news here...

If anything has made your heart sing or cheered you up for a few moments, then talk about it here.

Lets start with the good news that the best city in UK has will stage the Olympics in 2012.

What made it especially funny was that the haughty French President Jacques Chirac insulted British and Finnish food the other day, then arrogantly predicted Paris would win the Olympics.

London won 54-50…with the two votes from the Finnish delegates playing a crucial role in London’s triumph…

Bon appetite M. Chirac! Biggrin

Oh how he deserved that comeuppance….

Vive le Londres.

I live near where the stadium is gone to be built.
The taxes will get higher so I won't be very happy at all.

C’mon bro, don’t be a spoil sport…

Olympics is gonna be great, and hopefully regenerate the poorer areas of east London in the process.

It will also encourage kids to take up sport rather than hanging around street corners, in hooded tops, drinking, smoking and stealing car stereo’s..

It’s all good, as I see it.

Also, it was nice to see that snooty, stuck up Paris didn’t win.

My friends, how does it feel like to be killed

I bet this scares you yeah!! . Well, it does sound scary to some people. No one wants to die coz they don’t know where they gonna end! Could be in hell or heaven or simply hanging around like Casper!. I know some would love to be like them ghost so that they can fright people at night, some would love to be a friendly ghost though!!

All for all, females don’t need to worry much since they go to no heaven neither hell since they have no souls but perhaps a chance to become a ghost and stay on earth spooking on us

The good news for all anyway is that!!, when you are killed you go directly to heaven, no matter if you are naughty boy or a naughty girl, once you are killed all the naughty thingy goes to who ever kills you!! Isn’t that wonderful!![img]

So, for those who want the hard way going to heaven keep on good faith and remember to be nice!! But for those who want the easy way, simply let your enemy kill you and there you go!! Heavenly kid!! How about that!!!

Now one thing to put in your nuts!! DON’T kill yourself coz you’ll never go to heaven or even hell. You’ll stay down here as a BAD Ghost!!. Your face will be so ugly that all the creatures will run away from you even a Dracula would run away from you. You don't want that to happen, do you!!

So, from now on, don’t be scared!! OK…

Asalamualaikum!

I personally think that the Olympics 2012 r gnna b great too.

Greece had they chance last year, my parents said that it was great to see new faces coming into the country and also the youth taking part in organizing the events.

In 2012 is gnna b in London which i think it's great, i live far from were the Olympics are gnna take place but still its a great opportunity for the youth and the country.

i totally agree...its a big boost for the youth 2 get more involved in sports and now everyones going 2 try and get their kids/students etc etc 2 take part lol

and plus and i think more importantly like you said sis its going 2 improve the poor areas of london and thats only a good thing!

anything irrelevant but good news.

Why is that good news?

Lol

Do you realise that this thread was created the day before the &th July bombings in London?!

That's why it stopped all of a sudden...

English is no way as important as Maths seeing as you can and have to use Maths everywhere.

You said who in the what now?

Don't just do something! Stand there.

Language is important. even in a subconscious level it teaches/hints to you about what is acceptable and what is not and sometimes the different ways some things are said in some languages can be insightful.

Thats not true.
Even if you have to use maths everywhere, its nothing serious. Anything a calculator can do probably.
But English, you need it everywhere, writing for your CV, and whatever course you eventually do in Uni, (not including Maths -or maths related) although they might need statistics...once in a while..English is needed overall for assignments...exams...blah blah

You said who in the what now?

:S was that grammatically incorrect? or do you not agree?

all i mean was Maths is used all the time in everyday life and you can use it everywhere you go but not everyone speaks English.

He was suggesting that you write that message in english - would be unintelligible if you did not know, study english.

but i dont need a high level or A* to write it?
