Hello

I read the article you wrote on sexual abuse... I was abused and... reading the article really helped me, knowing that I was not the only one to go through it and there where others, who are Muslim just like myself, who have been through it.

I hope you will keep mentioning abuse... as most Muslims, especially the older generation, are not really aware of this.
It can happen anywhere... and to anyone.

Thank you

I am a huge Revival fan and I think the magazine is a great reminder for young Muslims to stay on the right path. Most media nowadays depicts things that are either un-Islamic or simply Islamaphobic, so for me 'The Revival' is a welcome breath of fresh air. I would also like to say I LOVE the Ali and Jamal segments.
Thank you for your time.

Firstly I would just like to congratulate the team on what an excellent job you are all doing targeting issues that affect today's youth. Mashallah. I just started reading your magazine and I find it very informative. I have had a look at the previous 3 issues on line and they’re really good Mashallah. I think I'm hooked!! Lol! I read the article about bullying - that was brilliant.

My friends have all had a read as well they were also very impressed.

It’s really good that you adapt your language style to the youth that will be reading your magazine in a non-condescending manner. It’s good that you don't talk all technical terms and you make the magazine easy to read and understand.
I look forward to reading your next magazine.

I got some of your previous issues at the IslamExpo event. How sensible was your July/Aug 07 front-page picture? Mosque? Cops with machine guns? See that all the time, don't we? Is that an accurate portrayal of the police force in this country? Your article contained no reference at all to what the police were doing there or why they had machine guns. I thought a magazine for Muslims would stay away from the sensationalism we see everyday on the news or in the papers.

The subsequent interview was better but the question, 'As a policeman don’t you sometimes have to spy on fellow Muslims? Isn’t that one reason not to join the force?' is absolutely ridiculous. So was the interviewer suggesting that no Muslim country should have a police force? I for one want more Muslims in the police force. That would give us all greater trust in the police; your article would have put teenagers off that route and that is our loss.

Lemme just say that the new website is looking good, but I still preferred the old one for some reason. Maybe you should add all the category/sections of all the topics in Islam like before and make it a bit more funkier such as adding special effects etc.

I recently visited my relatives in Birmingham and it was the first time I saw your magazine. I'm from Dewsbury and have never seen your magazine being distributed (unless I am looking in all the wrong places). Getting to glance at your latest issue had me hooked, even at the age of 33... I could relate to it in all aspects... as a father, a son, a neighbour and moreover as a Muslim brother. It spoke with ease of understanding and did not confuse the reader with deep Hadith readings or detailed explanations from the Holy Quran.

Again, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all at The Revival for their hard work and may Allah bless you with patience and health.

Mate did you actually read the article? Or just look at the picture? They're not actually carrying machine guns buy the way. About the question, perhaps the interviewer was playing devil's advocate. Hey, I'm not having a go at you, by the way, just questioning you. Generally I think you're a person with interesting views, I agree with you when you say we need more Muslim Police Officers. If you're reading this maybe you could register on the Forums and join in with the discussions, how about that?

Chin up, mate! Life's too short.
