This film is about the Prophet Muhammad (saw), the Messenger of Islam, the world’s second largest religion and it takes the viewer through the early stages of Islamic history and the birth of Islam. Excellent for all ages.

Assalam Alaikum
I have to disagree with this cartoon. Pictures, drawings, of religous figures is a very MAJOR sin? I would expect more from a website that has many articles on Islam.. You should know better

June 16th, 2006 at 10:38 pmSalaam,
the animated movie does not depict the Prophet (s.a.w) and major sahaaba (r.a).
i disagree with the Revival editor about it being ‘excellent for all ages’, as it is a very condensed version of the seerah. anyway, this is being discussed on the Revival forums (see link provided) so feel free to post your thoughts there.
wassalaam.
June 19th, 2006 at 1:31 amI really like the cartoon as it gives people a chance to see how Islam began, its beauty and what it offers to its followers such as freedom, a purpose for life and death, a manual to live you’re life (God created us so only God will know the best for us as revealed in Islam) and modesty etc. This specific cartoon allows people from all walks of life to easily understand such as children, teenagers, adults and even non muslims. It allows people to sit back and understand much more easier then if they were to sit down and read the same information potrayed in a book. A picture speaks a thousand words, as they say.
I think drawing pictures of people is wrong because its the root of even more problems later on as Islam explains (i.e idol worshipping).
But in this day and age it is important that we muslims move with the rest of the world and not limit ourself to show the true beauty of Islam.
All we see on tv is negative images of Islam, muslims under opression, muslim at war with opressors and alot of the time they are portayed as ‘terrorists’ when most of the time they are just defending themselves as it is a right for any human to defend him/herself.
So i think we should use media as a tool to educate muslims and non muslims of the true beauty of this wonderful religion.

Muhammad (peace be upon him) was NOT the founder of islam. As islam began from Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) and our prophet (peace be upon him) was the final prophet who complited the deen of islam. Please make sure you ammed this mistake. All the previous prophets were also muslims and islam did not start with the birth of the last prophet (peace be upon him). Jzk
July 11th, 2006 at 6:14 pmI was of the impression thathe Followers of the prophet Muhammad (saw) are called Muslims, and the religion called Islam.
Followers of the path prior to the final messenger are given a different names. People of the book.
However you do have a point, as the Prophet (saw) was not a founder, but a messenger.
July 11th, 2006 at 7:38 pmDont use the pictures of such good personalities. it is not permissible
July 24th, 2006 at 7:09 pmIslam was completed by the Beloved Messenger (saw), and prior to Him, there was no religion called ‘Islam’ specifically.
all previous messengers and prophets carried and preached the word of Allah swt to the nations they were sent for.
All creation existed due to the Beloved of Allah, Sultan ul Awliya, Muhammad Mustafa (saw), please dont alter his status as the highest of creation.

What a load of rubbish…the “major” sahaabi are not depicted…does this mean that a sahaabi can be classed as “minor” and it would be fine to draw a cartoon of them?
Even a sahaabi who saw the prophet of allah(peace and blessings of allah on him and his family)-note i didn’t use the term “pbuh” which is also disrespectful-once and died with iman is better than all the ummatis no matter how much ibaadah they do.
Therefore this utter rubbish of not showing major sahaabi is nonsense. Depicting sahaabi is a grave sin and people who blindly follow western methods of “spreading” the knowledge of deen should be aware before the punishment of allah befalls us all.
August 22nd, 2006 at 2:40 pmAssalam o Alaikum,
Muslims, it is a slap on our face, cartoons of our beloved Prophet, Hazrat Mahummad (Peace Be Upon Him) are being published in media(newspapers, web) and we are still not improving our selves, making strikes and public conferecnes in our country means nothing to these KUFFARS, they just and only want to prove muslims as most worst human beings.
I CAN’T EVEN IMAGINE MUSLIMS USING CARTOONS FOR PREACHING ISLAM ~~ WHERE IN OUR ISLAMIC HISTORY WE FIND THAT ISLAM IS BEING PREACHED THROUGH IMAGES & CARTOONS? DID ANY MUSLIM CALIPH OR MUSLIM SCHOLAR USED THIS WAY TO PREACH ISLAM ??
SO PLEASE THINK ABOUT YOUR ACT.
MAY ALLAH BLESS US ALL AND GUIDE US TO THE RIGT PATH - AMEEN, SUMMA AMEEN.

September 15th, 2006 at 6:10 pmAssalmalyekum….
well thats good effort to preach Islam but thats really height of shamness to behave so irrational that to make imagenary pic of HOLY prophet peace be upon HIM.. Muslim who still have true IMAAN and love for ALLAH and HIS messenger peace be upon HIM, should really take a radical step against this shameful activity.
FiamaanAllah
September 16th, 2006 at 7:21 amthis is the jealousy from the biggest and most honourable personality of the universe.hazrat muhammad (p.b.u.h)give light to whole the world. The non-muslims film makers should avoide such actions that injures the muslims hearts, and through these ways they cannt decrease the respect of such a great personality.
September 16th, 2006 at 3:18 pmAssalaamu ‘Alaykum
May 9th, 2007 at 6:36 pmIf we look at the Quraan, Prophets before Muhammad (SAW) were called Muslims. Therefore, we know that by definition, the religion all the Prophets brought was one and the same, Islaam-total submission to Allaah).
Assalamualaikum
I don’t see why everyone is making such a big fuss… I’m sure his INTENTION for making the movie was so that it could educate our children and all ages… who are we to judge the person who made this film anyway??? The only judge is ALLAH (SWT)and only on the day of judgement we’ll know who’ll be going to hell or heaven and for what… And aren’t we going to be requited based on our INTENTIONS and actions???
I personally don’t see anything wrong with it… isn’t it better that my child is watching a cartoon with something he could learn about Islam from??? than letting him watch power rangers, spiderman, simpsons?? superman?? tellitubbies?? Aren’t those the things that our children growing up watching?? Which doesn’t teach much about Islam or anything does it???
When we let our children watch these we don’t think of what the western society is trying to teach us.. the Free Masons make the cartoon simpsons… and things like tellitubbies has been known to give children wrong messages… and why not?? The children are growing up believing that the sun is a baby??? Hellooo… power rangers teaches children violence… this is something for us to think about…
These days children learn all the bollywood stars and songs but how many of our children know about the beloved Prophet (SAW) who was sent down by Allah for US, who was a perfect being??? Even as us adults how many of us know about his life??? All those here criticising have u even read any of the books publised about the Prophet (SAW)?????
And anyway when it comes to drawing, some scholars have said it’s ok as long as u don’t make sculptors of people with mud etc and put in the features otherwise u have to blow life into it… just like Allah (SWT) made Adam (as) and then blowed life into him…
Allah knows best… may Allah forgive me for my mistakes and may Allah help us, the ummah of Prophet (SAW) stay on the right path and may HE grant us HIS Jannah. Ameen.
July 6th, 2007 at 3:19 pmI am a religious studies teacher in the UK. It is crucial that we teach children to understand and appreciate Islam! Ignorance is the root of misunderstanding and hatred. I consider that this film is a tool that is accessible to children who have never before encountered Islam, taking the first steps in building their understanding of a religion otherwise alien to them. If future generations are to resolve current hostilities in the world we must begin by biulding an awareness by educating our children.
November 2nd, 2007 at 12:58 pmPerhaps someone may know where I could buy a copy of this movie as a resource?
Thank you
