ZAKIR NAIK BANNED FROM ENTERING UK

Home secretary Theresa May bans radical preacher Zakir Naik from entering UK

A radical preacher who claimed that “every Muslim should be a terrorist” has been banned from coming to Britain, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.

In her first major test of being tough on extremism, Theresa May, the new Home Secretary, said she was banning Zakir Naik from entering the UK.

Dr Naik, a 44-year-old Indian televangelist, had been due to give a series of lectures at arenas in Wembley Arena and Sheffield.

The Home Secretary can exclude or deport an individual if she thinks that their presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good.

ALCOHOL ABUSE IN THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY

SALAAM

I'm working on this issue for a future article in The Revival, some views and comments on the following issues would be helpful:

Alcohol abuse in the Muslim community:

does it exist?

is it big but under cover?

is it as bad as weed/coke amongst our youth?

do you know muslim youth personally who drink...or even drink openly?

do you know of ex-drinkers who have now become active practising Muslims?

is drinking alcohol not seen as a 'biggie' any more?

what would be the main reasons muslim youth drink?

is drinking alcohol related to attending clubs/ pulling?

is it because booze is so easily available at supermarkets etc?

who would you say is to blame? parents/society/individual/mosques/imams/nobody?

A Canadian author will become the first Muslim-born woman to lead a mixed-gender British congregation through Friday prayers tomorrow in a highly controversial move that will attempt to spark a debate about the role of female leadership within Islam.

Do you think The Revival is doing a good jon in trying to be THE VOICE OF THE MUSLIM YOUTH?

Emergency National Demonstration - Are you going?

Salaam

Demonstration tomorrow
Anyone going?
Do you beleive in matches/demonstrations?
what do they acheive?
Is it just a matter of feeling better or thinking you have done 'something'?
or is it vital to take part to show our support for our Palestinian brothers and sisters?

Emergency National Demonstration Saturday 5th June

The world has looked on aghast as more and more details emerge of the violent attack by the Israeli Government on the unarmed flotilla of boats carrying essential medical supplies to the besieged people of Gaza. Tens of people have been killed and scores more injured.

Those who survived the brutal attack have been illegally imprisoned, without access to legal representatives.

British Muslim or Muslim in Britain?

Salaam

After my editorial I hav ebeen having discussions with several people regarding the concept of Britsh Muslim.

Are we even allowed to call ourselves 'Britsh Muslims'?
Isn't it Kufr?

Are we just Muslims in Britain?

What's the difference?

What does it mean to be a British Muslim?

What is Britishness?

Can you be 'British' and 'Muslim' at the same time?

Should we be proud to be British Muslims?

Is being a British Muslim nationalism?

Please share your thoughts...

PAKISTAN CRICKET IN CHAOS!

Top Pakistan stars Mohammad Yousuf and Younus Khan have been told they cannot represent their country again.

The Pakistan Cricket Board's inquiry into the tour of Australia found the pair had been involved in "infighting which... brought down the whole team".

Rana Naved-ul-Hasan and Shoaib Malik each face one-year bans and big fines.

Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal also face heavy fines while their conduct will be strictly monitored during a six-month probationary period.

The PCB has implemented the recommendations of an inquiry committee formed to evaluate Pakistan's dismal performance against Australia during the winter, when they lost all nine internationals.
