BTW considerate men make the best husbands-the type that make life easier for their wife and dont consider everything "the womens job"
totally agree - those who like 2 divide responsibilities and are generally caring and show an interest in the wifes well-being in all situations whether the situation directly affects him or not

A husband can only be as good as the wife he has IMO. But saying that i seen alot of marriages where you have each parnter at different extremes. Like the wife will be soft and the husband hard and vice versa. One will be demanding and the other considerate. It very rare to find a match, unless what i describe above is how it meant to be.

I know a few men who get treated like crap from their wives
tis weird-
but I dont think that a husbands goodness is dependent on his wifes goodness
he should be a good husband REGARDLESS of what his wife is like
of course the wife should do her job do-but if she doesnt he shouldnt become evil
both will only be asked on the DJ of what they did
Tru, but what i seen in marriage there very few marriage where there a complete balance. It always one person who has to give and take, be it the husband or wife. If the wife has a short temper the husband is normally has patience. But it more common now, where you get no comprimise in marriage, so both may have short temper and that why marriage doesn't seem to be doing very well.

Yes but they should trust each other and listen to each other
to make the marrage work in the first place!
And one most improtant thing is that they should not keep any secrets from eachother and also involve each other in financal problems and discussion.

lol, I could but i won't. But marriage is about compatibility, so the partner should compliment the other person character, doesn't mean they have to be exactly the same, be at least be of the same understanding in many respect. Of course Taqwa is the single most important aspect in someone and it sad that it seem very rare in people today.

yeh its really sad - very hard finding pious god-fearing ppl but then again like some1 already mentioned we aint perfect ourselves...everyone should look at improving their own taqwa before insisting ta marry some1 with an exceptional level of it!
I agree with yuit I think the most one can find nowadays is some1 who has the same understanding as themselves on most aspects - more than that is probably expecting 2 much

instead of discussing who would make the best husband/wife we really should ask ourselves if WE would make the best husband/wives
we would only deserve and get the "best" if we are perfect as well

I'm going to be the perfect husband.
I'm a generally pious fellow, pretty darn handsome if I do say so myself (and I did), doing well financially - I can cook.
Oh, and i'm modest.

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

personally I hate "opposites" marraiges
where one is short tempered and other is not
one is religious an other is not
I only know a handful of compatible couples
